hi all, i have been in communication with Flowerpower and i asked him for if he would like to share anything about this dad, he sent this message via flowerpower Good morning Dave , From the son of Peter . N MEMORIAM – TANGMERE-XI All, I’m writing a message on behalf of my dad, whom is known to you as Tangmere-XI. He enjoyed gaming with you guys very frequently and also for several (many) years in a row so most of you might know him. Sadly, I have to inform you that my dad Peter passed away at 5 September last month, due to a cardiac arrest. Still can’t believe it, but I’m sure he wants me to move on from this when the time is right, otherwise he would’ve kicked my ass. Every night he was playing World at War. Throwing around buzzwords through the headset like ‘’Jochie, Lamlul and Wichser’’ at random, these words became quite familiar to me as well. He was always having fun with you guys and I’m glad that he did. Even whilst I was sitting upstairs, I heard him laughing and saying these famous buzzwords all the time. But probably there were a lot more than the three I mentioned before. He recently bought a new PC, and needless to say I was trying to move him over to newer, more recent Call of Duty and ActionRPG-games as I – and everybody’s mother almost – is playing these nowadays. But… you know the fun part? He didn’t want to as he said multiple times ‘’Nah…these guys ain’t on there - they are all on World at War so I’ll just stay there.’’ That is how much he enjoyed playing with you guys. I couldn’t get him over to enjoy all the new-generation games with me, even when he sat at a new 3000 Dollar PC….. Thanks I guess, guys? I’m so glad and thankful for the trips we made in the last years. Father and son. As some of you may know we visited some famous WW2-sites. 2x Normandy, 1x Bastogne and two months ago we went to Germany to do some third-reich sightseeing. These were great, great trips where we had lots of fun and where we saw many interesting stuff. Obviously these trips are now very, very special to me. Please know that Peter (Tangmere), still IS the best dad that I could’ve ever wanted, and I’m very grateful for the times I spent with him and for all that he thought me. Although it was (way too) short, I will keep him and his memories close to my heart. As a kid I had everything I wished for because of him and my mom and he raised me as a proper man with morals, values and virtues. I’m proud of him. _On behalf of Tang…._ *I want to thank you all for the good and fun times online. It was a real pleasure.* *One last salute to you all.* If you want more pictures let me know. Yes is true , usually at our age everything should be all paid , i carry only a monthly balance on credit cards wich i pay full every month...

Just heard that the factory where my uncle works as a security guard has just caught fire. We were a bit worried as the poor bugger has two wooden legs. Well we've just received a phone call to say that through the hard work and bravery of the fire service , the factory was saved. Unfortunately, we weren't quick enough and your uncle was burnt to the ground......

hi all I've been in communication with his friend flowerpower by email and I'm hoping his son will be in touch so i can get some personal info about his life. although he was not a member he played on the server for several years, he was a lovely person, full of humour and loved to chat about life. he will be sadly missed by us all, taken to young. rest easy Tang x

Just to let you know that TangemereNL has passed away at the age of 56. He played on the DM3 server for a long time. He was a very funny person and is badly missed by his friends. Please spare a thought for him and his family. Thank you.

I’m very sad to report that Loco is leaving the Cod4 admin team for personal issues. He has done a huge amount of work for the COD4 community and it will be very hard to replace him. He was in charge of all the map rotations for COD4, so you will have bare with us until we can sort out the map rotations. You will be missed Loco, but the door will always be open for you to come back once your personal issues are sorted. Thank you for everything
