    South Mackay went to the NBN and speeds halved and ping doubled - not enough backhaul. I'm in North Mackay and we won't have it for another year at least - I'm happy to hang on to my ADSL2+ for as long as I can - okay ping and DL.

    @ I know what you mean. Whenever I step off the ship it is all beer and freezetag and when I finally almost get around to doing what needs to be done at home....off on the fucking plane to work. I find that I have to set myself goals before rewards ie I have to do a 5k run before I'm allowed a beer - or I have to do 2 hours study before gaming. The house renovations just get pushed to the back of the queue for some reason I'm surprised I don't get more aggravation from Mrs Bosun actually

    Here is a VERY rare photo of me actually working (I'm on the ladder) - boarding a "pirate" ship as it entered international waters in the Indian Ocean after leaving the Sunda Strait. Vessel was flying no flag and had no identification displayed which means that as it was in international waters under the international law of the sea it can be boarded,inspected, and have its identity verified by military or government authorities of any country.

    God Bless dumb criminals. They helped me keep my arrest stats quite high during my time as a Police Officer. One of my favorites was a guy I had pulled over to warn for speeding. As I walked up to his car he stepped out but he had his foot caught in a plastic carry bag - out came the bag onto the road along with the 3/4 pound of marijuana he had just bought ... I still gave him the warning for speeding
