  1. Trust me. Its NOT %50. And its NOT walk on. Was nice not having to listen to all the police sirens day and night.
  2. And away I go. Fly out to MCO early tomorrow morning for WDW for a week. Check out all the 50th anniversary and Halloween stuff. Galaxy's Edge. Assuming I can get a time slot for it before its all booked. Gotta try each morning at exactly 7am... like all the other riff-raff doing it. If I can arrange it, maybe check out the Celebration area to see what its like. First time on a plane in 15 years. Actually, first significant vacation in 3 years. Would have gone on one a year ago but Covid and the various shutdowns nixed that idea. I hate the packing though. I am always worried that I will forget something important. And in the back of my mind also hoping that TSA wont find some kind of issue to cause a problem or... worst case scenario... deny me entry.
  3. China also has some kind of electronic currency of their own coming out based on the yuan. Or something like that. So bitcoin et al is a direct competitor outside of their control.
  4. After seeing these posts... I will pass on watching it.
  5. Rib Eyes are my favorite but they are horribly expensive.
  6. If the earth was flat, where exactly are the edges? Between the US and Asia? The US and Europe? Is Hawaii right on the edge if the latter? Then again, maybe all of you are wrong and we are all actually living on the back of a turtle.
  7. Also Blazzing Saddles. "Excuse me while I whip this out." So many great quotes from that movie, cant count them all.
  8. Ending a comment with 'Period!', trying to have the last word, is passe. These days its "I have spoken."
  9. A 3070? Ugh. A pox on you and your house.
  10. There are so many to choose from, where can anybody begin? "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member." -Groucho Marx
  11. Sorry been busy and away for awhile. I dont even remember much of what the scripting was like in the old mod about emp since so much of it was rewritten from scratch. As for the car (and all the others like it), sounds like telefrag checks so players dont get stuck and easy targets. The default is that players are visible, for the duration physically occupying the space, and are thus shootable. Doing it with the invisible setting has some compromises and this is one of them. Just to note, telefrag checks have also been used since the beginning of the game (and thus a built in engine function) to prevent players from spawning on the same spot and being stuck in each other. Assuming the mapper included enough spawn points which sometimes they didnt. For those that remember, telefragging was a popular method of killing enemies using the translocator. One reason why a lot of places shut it off. Great fun if you were good enough to do it.
  12. Is that surcharge above and beyond the price of a gallon of gas?
  13. To run it this is what I would have to do since my cpu isnt on the support list. Likely the mb is missing the newer security features. Admittedly a majority of the stuff on my system is on the older side. But at the moment I dont really have a need to shell out the bucks for a new system. Not worth it anyways unless I could get a new gpu to go with it.
  14. Stored at your parents? Not only did he store his stash there for nearly a year instead of renting a cheap one at a storage facility. When he got a new place he wanted them to pack it all up and ship it to him. Including said stash that included god knows what.
  15. I thought they required a test taken within the previous 72 hours. Vaccine or not. I kinda remember that when researching vacations. If they currently dont, be sure to keep an eye out just in case they change their mind. By the end of next month I half expect the airlines will be asking for vaccine cards or recent negative covid tests.
  16. All those tire tracks, she must always be in an awful hurry to get home.
  17. Nope. Cant say I am interested. But for all you know, maybe its bdsm lesbian midget porn?
  18. The link to the site itself is on the original AP story on their website. https://apnews.com/article/indiana-michigan-muncie-grand-haven-d52201655d54b71aa0d544245c1ecc97 So I figured it was legit. You can bypass the nag screen on the bottom of it and there is an option to continue without disabling your adblockers. That said, if a site does have that kind of nag screen but no option to bypass it, such as the same story on dailymail, I close the window.
  19. The funny part is that any man stupid enough to store $30 grand of porn and sex toys at his parents house deserves to have it all thrown away.
  20. I was checking out the latest news of the morning and saw this one. When it is estimated that your porno collection is worth more than a new car there is something wrong. https://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/2021/08/how-much-was-sons-porn-collection-worth-that-parents-destroyed-judge-decides-value.html
  21. Ah the good ol days of IRC. And of course the constant trolls and flamers that went along with it.
  22. Bug cartoons are great. Of course there are a small handful that you have to search around to find that are of decent quality.
  23. First possibility that comes to mind is a weapon/attachment combo that is missing a model entry for its gunmodel or world model in its weapon file. If it happens again I would ask what weapon/attachment each player was using at the time.
  24. Keeping a close eye on things. See if the situation in orange county is mostly temporary. Or if nobody will do even small things to help deal with it. Doing nothing, out of some kind or personal or political expediency, is not a good sign for potential visitors. But if it becomes necessary to cancel I might rethink places like Hawaii. Probably cheaper too.
  25. I have reservations there for the first week in october. I am hoping they dont panic and start shutting things down unnecessarily. That said, even though I am sure the kids are disappointed their safety comes first.
