I'm keeping my clan tags off until I can sort out the player name issue. I'm at Level 9 now and Level 10 unlocks the ability to edit the player card so I hope that is connected. Open Steam and select Settings>View Steam Community Profile. You have to set up the Steam Community ID and you can choose whatever name you please - it does not affect your log-in details (if you mess with them you might have to re-purchase all games registered to the old one so beware). I have never opened steam and this is the first time I have encountered it. I do not really need any more complexities challenging my limited computer knowledge. I would like to switch from my steam profile name to" KillingTime" but I already have six other games via Steam under 2 accounts. Now I'm peranoid about this change. I have racing games that let you create any profile name you want under Steam I think? I read how to edit and I get that part but with my other games under steam and the possibilty of fucking up my accounts and loosing all my other games just to change my profile name for Black ops is making me nervous.... Any Steam savy folks out there that can help I would be greatly appreciated. Im wondering if changing your Steam profile name would affect loging on to Steam to play a different game? As far as I have researched you cannot change your account name. If you should do so my guess is you lose all and I don't know if Steam warns you if you attemed it. It danm well should. I don't know if when you first load COD Black Ops and you don't already have a Steam Account, are you promt to create an account? Im just wondering how many will use their XI name for the main account and discover that they cannot use it for a profile name. Or changing an existing profile name to your XI name only to find out that it won't accept it due to its already used or some other reason. Now what dose one do, create a new XI name? And how will anybody know that your an original XI member using a different profle name you had to create??? The best way is to let the server names load then click on the top of the list to sort them into alphabetical order. Scroll down towards the bottom of the list and you should see the XI servers. Right click on each and add to favourites. Then, next time, all you have to do is select your favourites and they'll be there for you. If they don't appear in the server list, check your filters to ensure that all servers, empty and full are being displayed. XI's tend to be either full or empty and rarely in between!
