Simply create a new folder anywhere, and then give it a name followed by the string: Godmode. ED7BA470 (-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C) Upon approval, the name of the folder you created the appearance of the icon will change. Change the behavior of the object, double-click a blank window will not start Windows Explorer, but a window filled with a list sorted in categories of settings. These are all the settings to which you have access through the Control Panel applets, administration consoles, panels, etc. Task As you can see, the function godmode not provide access to new and unknown possibilities, but just a grouping of all the system settings in one window is a great help for advanced users and administrators. Trick works not only in Windows 7 You can also use it in Windows Vista, but WARNING! with the exception of a 64-bit edition of the system. Attempting to create a folder godmode on 64-bit edition of Windows Vista may crash the system and prevent it from running again - you may need to boot into safe mode or start the recovery console to delete the troublesome folder. Can't remember now exactly . Anyway, this folder was in my backup files and got copied over when I installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Not sure if this would have made a difference. -Merlin007
 Awards
