While not really a problem, I was wondering if anyone has any hands on experience with a RAT 7 gaming mouse? Thoughts?

What do you use and why?

I'll probably get some flak for this, but I use a Razer Lachesis (the first one, not the new one with all that customizable lighting nonsense) and I love it! The side buttons are large and very comfortably placed, mine is capable of 4000 dpi (5600 on the new one) so it's great if high sensitivity is your thing. And Razer does everything over the top so they have the profile customization with programmable buttons, 1000Hz polling etc. etc. Plus it looks goddamn sexy. :D

It's kinda tough ordering a mouse online. The most important thing about a mouse is how it feels while you, an individual gamer with unique preferences, are using it. Other features are simply a matter of convenience.

I have a R.A.T. 7 mouse and I really like it. It's heavy to start with but you can remove weights if you like your mouse lighter. I like that fact that it has multiple ways to customize it from palm rests to the thumb rest being able to slide out as well as forward and back making it fit your hand better. The precision aim button can also be real handy if your sniping if you set it up correctly when adjusting the sensitivity. The only problem I had with it was I had to return my first one within a month and get a new one. Even though the almost the entire thing is made out of metal the pin used to attach the mouse wheel is plastic. Mine bust there rendering the mouse wheel almost useless but the replacement has been fine.

i have the  logitech g500 it has a nice removable weight try that has 8-10 different weights so you can really customise the feel it goes up to 5600-5700 dpi dont remember. plenty of buttons on it for game useage. and I feel the most important  dual scroll. regular scroll and also hyper scroll. the wheel goes into freespin and even long pages scroll super fast. all with the push of a button at your fingertip. I love it. and you can find it for 50-70 dollars  it is wired

Finally bought A RAT 7. Like it alot better then the Logitech I had. The one thing I don't like is the pinkie rest (the big one) is very square as compared to the rest of the mouse.  I love it  in all other respects. Still cant plat worth a flip tho...........
