wow, they want $250 bucks of that...1/4 of the cost of a new 2 stage furnace...you think at that price it tell to the weather and play mp3s.  only plus i see if you had a 2nd home/cabin you wanted to heat/cool while you where not there.

ok old hvac tech here turning down your thermostat say to 65 to save energy is great but everything in the house gets to 65 when your thermostat is turned back up to say 72 everything in the house must be warmed up costing you more energy than leaving it a nice comfort temp say 68

You must be in the business toes....I am and try explaining that to people 100 times a day.....how about a church turning the system OFF at night then complaining about how long it takes to heat the place....lol...all marble and wood....

 

That said there is a market for these things....I contacted Carrier in my area nad am getting certified....

There is a definite group of people that will buy this in some of the areas I serve...

You hit the nail right on the head Toes. I myself am an HVAC tech. Most people fail to see the logic you described.
