Just a question that i need an answer to. i'm in south africa and my average ping on the servers is about 300 to 450. i am unable to get into most of the servers and it says that the server is for low ping players only. could someone explain this to me? Thanks in advance. Hey Tatsujin, you understand what a ping is right? The time for a packet to reach its destination then return back to your PC. The 300 to 450 is in milliseconds. The servers are set so the average ping is probably 250 milliseconds or so. Your path to get to our servers has to hope probably travel through many routers to get out of your country and then has to travel across the ocean then to the US and then to our servers. In Europe they can get 150 milliseconds and below which makes it quite playable. You will see so much lag.. or latency. Your character will be one place but to us playing you probably are in a much different area. So... makes it hard for players to see where you really are and the same for you. Advantage or disadvantage... depends but noticeable to the players. Sure there are more someone can add but this is the main reason. You are not that far away... but your are at the mercy of your ISP and the path it has to take to get from there to here and back. Hope you can stick around and play..... we like people from all over. Peace!!

Beers you forgot about the Packet Pirates. They are stealing the packets on the way back to Africa. What we need a Packet Pirate Scanner or PPS install in the ocean floor just off the coast. I think Symantec makes one..... but dont work for MAC packets though. Don't need to.. no pirate cares about the packets coming from a MAC.

I'm sorry about that. Its not because of the players we want to be playing with but if we raised the allowable rate the server would also start to lag from all the high pings. The reason we set the rate at 250 t0 300 was to allow all the EU (losers) To get in and well its been down hill ever since. The Brits are trying to teach me engalis silly buggers. So If I may ask what server would you like to play in and we could ask the head admins if maybe we could try and raise the set ping rate for a test ?? I would have to say though that it might not work wel for you at that ping. A ton of lag makes for some bad gaming. hxtr 1 Awards

Yeah find out what server he or she plays on and maybe test it on that one, but the high ping might screw up the game for everyone on there. Maybe one of the seniors have tried this before????? Beers

We are EXTREMELY happy just to be able to play with you guys as we are right now on the 4 or 5 servers that we can get onto. hxtr 1
