I put in a new SSD,formatted and loaded Win7 Premium 64. COD5 is totally reinstalled, all patches in the problem is I can play Custom DM, Mixer with no problems however Freezetag constantly boots me for PB Init failure. I have been doing some research and there are no clear answers. One possibility that is listed is that the server needs reset to communicate with me(sure). Any idea?...and yes I have removed PB and reinstalled...manually updated...dropped my firewall...tried pbsvc

Sad but true it will go away. No idea why it does this I've heard all sorts or doctor woohoo remidies for it but its just your machine or router giving a conflic with PB and it will stop by its self. What antivirus you use ?

A lot of threads out there going over the same issue. One did mention about their antivirus program taking an issue with the pbsvc. Maybe worth trying to kill your antivirus and try re-installing PB again.

some other things you might try and I don't really know if it matters much. Delete that mod from your machine and download a new copy from our server. Reboot your router. do a system clean up . Make sure there's nothing else running in the back ground. click start in the search field type in msconfig go to the startup tab and uncheck everything except for your anti virus and then reboot. Might help ya out but it will go away in a day or so seems to always happen that way.

This might help... assuming you have vista or windows 7

1. disable UAC settings in control panel. (control panel -> user accounts -> change user account control settings) disable it completely, move the slider down all the way).

2. Reboot computer

3. download pbsvc.exe http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

4. run the .exe (you will see two options, uninstall or install)

4. uninstall your pb

5. reinstall your pb

So that's why you haven't been around to shoot me... I had to re do pb also, and put it in manually to get mine to work. Only took me 3 times > I guess I got lucky. I think hawkeye has been having a lot of problems also with pb . Good luck !
