Shot them down to save the other lives. Hijackers dont hijack to keep the plane anymore.. they want to use it as a bomb. Kill them all and hope for the best for the hostages but be willing to accept the worst. The Israelis just might be the best in such a situation. No, I am not Jewish nor do I necessarily blindly support Israel. I just think they are good with decision making and how they go about doing it. Nothing more, nothing less. And Jonny, a forum like this is a hard place to get straight answers. That is not just limited to those in uniform. There are many brave souls standing watch today, and I thank God for them, but I for one would rather die at the hands of American fighter pilots, then in the hands of terrorists, accomplishing their twisted goals. Shoot the plane down, then honor the sacrifice of those who die by eliminating those responsible. Soldier on the battle field, Sailor on the sea; Pilot in the bright blue sky, All willing to die to keep us free. Be Pono! Is it a Republican or a Democrat? Like it makes a difference right? Well If you decide to let the plane go as is and your a Republican, then the Democrats will say you made a bad decision. If you make the decision to shoot it down, then the Democrats would say you made a bad decision. If your a Democrat and let the plane go, then the Republicans will say you made a bad decision. If you decide to shoot the plane down then the Republicans will say you made a bad decision. The people in power don't give a flying rats ass which way the outcome is. They care about votes. At one time right after 911 both Democrats and Republicans came together. I would say in my life I felt more American. It's a shame that it takes 911 to come together as a nation. It didn't last long when one party started in on another party and the whole together thing went away. As for me....HMM I don't know what I would do. Or until I had a majority vote. Landshark I don't think they people on that plane chose to crash it because I'm sure the terrorists didn't tell them they were gonna crash the plane into something and use this as a kamikaze missile .They may have defended the cockpit and probably the captain was killed or detained and the plane just crashed or the dumass terrorist trying to fly it jus fucked up seeing he had so much experience flying commercial airliners....Its horrible it happened and the people on board that fought them were definitely heroes..but realistically and chances are they had no choice but im sure they fought back as much as they could to survive . im done with this thread it just bumms me out to think about that time.It was so depressing and sad.
