is there a way to fix registry errors without having to buy software off the internet . and if i was to buy off internet or in store which is a good brand name . they say free but that's just to throw it in your face that you have many errors to fix but it  will cost . i know they say free CHECK but i want free lol . also driver update software aswell . i've been on sites over the years with the same thing . they say drivers need to be updated but $$$$ and we will do it for you . right now i have a code 31 adapter 4 to 6  or something along that line i can't fix in my device manager ...... yellow triangle with ! in it .

CCcleaner is free and works ok.

There is a lot of registry cleaners out there, some do a better job than others but none are perfect.

took me a while to get back in and respond .i know Loader . i had to move my daughter for the 5th time in less then a year yesterday . i did try the delete then reboot and it's not there anymore at all . but  windows still won't install the download they offer ? was just looking at device manager says Realtek  RTL8168D/8111D  Family PCI Gigabit  Ethernet NIC ( NDIS  6.0 ) .  <-THERE ARE 2 OF THESE . the other one that was there with the yellow marker i deleted .maybe the windows update won't download because like you said KaptCrunch it's the wrong update it has the B  instead of the D . now i should just delete the wrong download ? if i should is it easy ?

or am i wrong ? thanks guys . just went into properties in device manager for this RTL8168D/8111D and it says its working properly ?
