Having actually managed to get onto one of XI's BF4 servers to try the game out, I confess I am

not currently greatly impressed.  The main issue I have, ignoring the frequent game crashes, is

that battles launch in a window that I cannot resize and I can't find an options screen to select

full screen play.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  I hope the game improves with time and patches...

Getting there - I have now managed to enlarge the window but cannot find the video options menu, or controls menu for that matter...

Graphics are a bit laggy and the sound isn't perfect - I have experienced the silent vehicle syndrome.

I have the latest video card driver installed, yes.

This game does fuck you about a bit, i played this morning everything was fine, went out to do a bit of shopping, came back and played again 3 maps laggy as fuck, even getting to the point on one map where my screen was actually freezing for a second or two, how does this happen when everything was fine just two hours earlier, oh yes Deejay when you eventually find the sound options it does give you quite a few options to suit yo ie Headphone, Home Cinema etc etc,  one setting i had it on called War tapes, made everything so loud the first explosion nearly knocked me off my chair, every sound seemed to be highlighted to the maximum, you could hear every tree rustle in the wind etc but it got so full on i couldn't concentrate so i went back to Headphones sound...but as for the sudden lag i have no explanation it really pisses me off about this game, one minute fine the next minute you can hardly play it.

Just uninstalled this fucking game, from the game playing great at 8AM this morning to it not hardly working at all now, this is the same shit i was getting from BF3  when it first came out, i am sick of reinstalling DirectX and uninstalling reinstalling plug ins, even did a repair install, the fucking game is either crashing or freezing every few seconds now, wtf have Origin been up to today to make my game go from playing great to nigh impossible it beggars belief it really does, i fucking hate Origin, wish Steam was doing the Battlefield games, so game is uninstalled and i will try again tomorrow but my patience is already wearing very thin with this game.

Johnny, if SOB managed to run BF3 with no problems, he should have no trouble with BF4, given the published minimum and recommended specs.

This is another case of a publisher rushing a game out without it being properly play-tested.  A few patches down the line, we ought to be enjoying

the experience rather more...
