I am still getting by with a duo-core desk top PC I bought back in 2007. If what you have listed is what you're considering, that's a lot of bang for the buck! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Fast-Six-Core-Gaming-Desktop-Computer-PC-4-1G-x6-6450-1GB-/231177462794?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item35d340240a I thought this looked acceptable but I found it before I knew what you were willing to spend. Good luck buddy! Awards

It is not that hard. Just read all instructions carefully and remember to ground yourself before touching all components. I run an AMD FX 8120 at 4 ghz 16 gig ram gigabyte mobo and xfx 6950 2 gig video card. Much cheaper if you build yourself. Awards

Unless you have an unlimited budget, compromise is going to be necessary. Maybe you don't fancy spending $3000 on the ultimate gaming machine but you can get a moderately powerful one for much less. Four or five years ago, I had no clue about building desktop pc, except using it. One day I was walking around in a book store and happend to pick one of the above magazines and totally thrilled about those information of building your own desktop pc. Try to build yourself one and you will never want to buy a pc from those stores again in your life. it's very rewarding and it's not rocket science. Blackbart, KaptCrunch and Sammy 3 Awards

I agree with building your own. All that ram on those builds are a cheap way to hype a machine and get more sales, but if you build your own you can move your investment money around to what you really want or need. Little things sometimes mean a lot , like a smaller but faster hard drive. For instance; 1TB@ 10,000 RPM or SSD. It is fun to build your own and learn how it actually works.
