I save all my images to my "pictures library" then instead of the first step you take Mot, i click this 5465d35e2a5f0_0MGekTz.png then click "upload" "choose file" then "send to the server", i don't have any problems doing it this way.

That's actually the exact same button, SOB, but I'm running with the "Elegant" theme, and I guess you're using the "Blood" theme, so they look a little different between themes.  We're doing it the exact same way.  :)

OddJob, I am delighted for you.  No this isn't dial-up but ADSL and, due to the fact that I live in a small hamlet in the countryside, there's a 3.4km-long cable connecting this place to the telephone exchange along which the data flows, hence the slower speeds.

LaBob, the problem is not the speed of the game or the time it takes to download DLC but that the game is broken and always has been.

I don't intend to expend any time on trying to get this fixed in the very near future as I have stuff to which I have to attend.

So, Hammer, you are safe from M320 HE hits for the time being!

I guess I don't understand how there are hundred of thousands of people playing without an issue and enjoying themselves but you are having an issue so it's the games fault?

I understand frustration if it isn't working properly but I don't think it would be the games fault if many of us are not having any issues...does your pc meet the minimum requirements to even play the game?

Have you tried contacting EA to see if they have any suggestions?  Possibly a conflict somewhere in your system to PB?  Just a thought.  If you don't want to spend anymore time, I understand, if you wanted to try and keep playing however, it might be worth a quick email to EA/Dice to see if they have any thoughts.

I had "issues" with the game that prevented me from playing it for several months.  I'm not sure who put me on to the actual fix - OddJob001 or BoomSlang maybe - but anyway, my point is that the game can be remarkably finicky.  If it decides you ain't gonna play, you just ain't gonna play.  But I think all indications really point to the quality of KEG's internet connection above all else.  Hard to do much about that if he has no other choices.

Good point on internet, if your connection sucks you are going to have a bad time.

I have never had an issue that was not related to something else, such as PB, Video card, bad RAM or something else. There really are not many issues with the game itself. If you have problems look at your whole system to figure out where the problem is.

If only 2% of the 7 million people who bought this piece of s**t in the first place are still playing it daily, as server monitoring suggests (across all formats, not just PC), I would consider that it is highly likely that those of you fortunate enough not to have experienced any problems with Brokenfield are in the extreme minority.

Having, today, found the modest gains in performance that actually helped me rejoin the action, reversed by DICE's patch, I have taken the nuclear option and wiped the bloody program from my system along with Origin and Punkbuster.

My research indicates that there are a great many of us suffering identical issues with no clear resolution published.

Flush, the actual number of PC players on servers daily does not approach 100,000 worldwide and yes, my machine met and exceeded the minimum spec to install BF4 else I would not have spent a significant sum on buying the bloody game in the first place!

Reinstallation of the game over my 3Mbps line should take around 24-36 hours so you may see me back at some stage, but not soon.

It probably is the internet connection. I've noticed BF4 is much more finicky about stable connection that other games. sometimes I'll disconnect from BF4 and I know i had a minor blip in my internet, but TS won't disco, or other games won't disco, but i do know i have a small couple ms fuck up in my connection and it boots me right out.

Yeah I saw that. Hope they change it back.

Doubtful. I hope they add increased FSM to LMGs, increased spread, and overheating. That'd make the game more fair and wouldn't be suppressed by someone holding LMB1.

I blame xflaptor (I exploited the shit out of ucavs but if someone called me out on it I dissed them), levelcrap, and immatimioandimtheirbitch.

69% of Dragons Teeth done then just three more DLCs to come down the wire.  About 15-16 hours left now, I guess, so I may be able to play tomorrow morning!

If I think I have problems, the PS3 owners' are worse as they haven't been able to download the final DLC!  So EA/DICE is upsetting the console players too?

Yes.  Thank you for your interest.

The reinstallation completed about 6.20am today, after about 40 hours.

The early signs were not encouraging as I was prompted immediately to "repair" a fresh install!

Nearly four hours later and I am still unable to connect to any server from the battlelog.

The second repair is currently ongoing, after which I will have run out of options/ suggestions from EA.

You name it, I have updated it!  Plug-ins are active and having temporarily disabled the PC's firewall

(even though that was set to allow the relevant programs), I can discount that as having any relevance.

There is no hardware firewall active on the modem-router so forget UDP ports being blocked...  Origin has

been disabled in-game as EA suggests.

If it is a small comfort, I am just one of many experiencing this - the latest patch seems to have forced lots

of people offline and they are scrabbling about in search of a fix.

If I'm not in the game in about 40 minutes, it really is adios time!

Do you have more than one HDD/SSD?  This seems to me like a disk problem, not a software problem, which makes all other issues after it null.

Incorrect!

I've tracked it down at last!  Running BF4.exe and BF4_X86.exe as administrator fixes the connection problem!

Now who'd have guessed that?!

You should run everything as Admin.  Fixes many problems.

Good to hear.  Hope to see you on the Battlefield.
