Tour the World with a Flying Drone
It’s a big world out there with plenty of amazing sights to see and more places to visit then anyone can ever go to… But what if I told you there is a map that lets you travel all over the world and see some of its most beautiful locations like you will never have the chance to see yourself?
The site is called travelbydrone.com and once you go there (either by clicking on the link or on the map below) you will see a map of the world much like any other map on the internet, with one important difference.
Clicking on each of the markers on the map will open a video taken by a drone flying above that area. You can literally jump from anywhere to anywhere and visit it through the eyes of a bird. My personal recommendations? Rome, Jasper National Park and New York, explore the world and see which ones are yours!

Excellent!

@@JohnnyDos - Excellent views of Madison.  Launch point is Vilas Park on Lake Wingra.  This is also where our zoo is located.  You can see one of the exhibit halls clearly because of its rainbow sun-burst sculpture over the building.  In the first third of the video, there are some excellent shots of St Mary's Hospital where my daughter was born.  It's the tan and red-brick complex of buildings, where the largest tan building has a row of 4 massive, square windows.  At one point there is a great shot of the Isthmus, and right in the center is the Wisconsin State Capital building.  You can see the Capital in many of the angles as long as you know to look for it.

At one point, I thought it might be a great investment to get one of these drones and use it for commercial, real estate, and special occasion photography.  Sadly, as I researched it, I found that there is a growing swell of opposition to drones, right along with increasing levels of regulation.  The guy operating this drone may very well have been in violation of those laws.  The FAA is getting involved, and the casual and business use of drones may soon be legislated into oblivion.

TBB funny, but I live way east of Joe Canadian, but you should check out Detroit, they have a drone shot called decreped Detroit or something like that, but they also have some nice shots of the city, when I was a young kid 14 -15 years old we used to take the tunnel there to shop and look around and the place was actually a nice bustling city and as of now they are slowly trying to restore it.Take a look for yourself.I live right across from Belle Isle on the Canadian side.I'm having fun using this drone thingy. But like DjMot said they are going to make some laws for these things.
