I in search of a CHEAPER i5 or i7 processor socket set LGA 1150 and also looking for a new CD/DVD ROM. If anyone can help or know someone let me know.

i have an i5 -4670K 3.4GHz processor. Used but still good. here's a link to info on the cpu I have.

I do not like AMD. Had a computer with nothing but AMD and it lasted 2 years. So i build a new one lasted 14 years.

There is no reason to go for a 7th Gen Intel series if you even have a LGA1155 like mine or LGA1150. For sure not for gaming.

 

@@Corbellus, you can check the CPU support list of your motherboards vendor what would fit on it.  You might need the latest BIOS for it though and that is easy to update.
