When I built a fast file (followed every thing in a youtube tutorial) there is nothing on the left side to move to the right. Can any please tell me were I'am going wrong Thanks.

I'm guess its playing single player because you did not name your map mp_mapname . Thats how the game figures out what type of game to launch. For all the models that you can walk through you have to place a clip over them. ie if its a vehicle you would want to place a metal clip wood a wood clip a fence might work with a player clip. There's an art to clipping and some people do a wonderful job. Please if you plan to release your map have us test it out for you our players will rape it and let you know what still needs to be clipped. Un clipped models cause alot of banning on our servers and would get your map off off them , so much work gone to waste. Very important. No wepons hmm I would need to see a screen shot of your player in game and if you caould post your .gsc and main .csv files I might be able to figure that one out. It is a remake of a old Black hawk Down (BhD) map zig zag small and simple to start (so I thought LOL) will go through the points you have made and if it works out would live to send it over for you guys to look at and tell me what you thiink bad or good. You can find them by right clicking on your 2d window select misc/prefab/ in there I think everything you find will be clipped. The call them colmaps (I assume the col means collision) open up the files and you will find tons of stuff to play with. but for this I would start with misc_models. If you don't find one you are looking for you can go back to misc/models and select the one you like and clip it in your map. So once you place your model go to textures and usage select tools then reclick on your model and deselect it . You do that so when you apply you clip it kinda knows the size of your model. decide what the material should be select that corresponding clip and cover your model with it. now those are done in several steps. Take the car for one you can see how the bottom and the top are two different sizes. Do the bottom one first. Cover as best as you can while your clip is selected click on the "e" key and it will add blue dots to all things you can edit. lower your grid size and place your mouse over any one of those blue dots grab it and move it around til you get that perfect fit. remember to switch the view of your model so you can do all side and top. Then do your second clip on the top of the car. It seems like alot of work but once your done you can select your model and all it's clips and save it as col_name.map and save it anywhere you want or here so your game can find it when it needs it. Up to now that work is well over a hundred hours and I've screwed up several times because I forgot how cod4 works. I now have it compiling again for the thrid time and I'm about done still add some fx and minimap and loadscreen and finnally off my plate back to bo3 . There is no end to figuring it out. I think sometimes I like solving the WTF now issues nor than the game play. Then again its all about where I decide to lose my mind sometimes. Its peaceful in radient Awards
