Closing plants in Canada and USA but not in Mexico. Punish GM by never buying one of their products ever again like I did for what they did to Detroit a long time ago.

Closing plants down in Canada and the US but not Mexico and China (cheap cheap (child) labor).

They took the money they got from the government and divided up with the greedy effin shareholders because well lets face facts they were getting a little short on their surf and turf supplies (LOL).

They will be closing down by the end of 2019. If I were those employees I would just walk out the door and leave those fkrs with nothing.

Ford is also planning to cut some of its 70,000 employees.

Now watch out for the steel companies too. They are next.

Happens everywhere, in Italy there is even an industry that has sprung up that literally moves your factory overnight to a cheaper Eastern country, workers turn up in the morning to nothing. Nothing is now made in home countries of any significant labour requirements, perhaps Mr Trump may be right eh? You have a market big enough to slap huge surcharges on foreign imports, that will bring them back, money is the root of all evil ?

?????? errrr isn't that what you're protesting about? so it's ok for Italy but not for you? hmmm?

Most people don't realise that the underlying cause of this problem is cheap transport costs, mainly due to containerisation, that allow business to do this. One true ludicrous example is that prawns caught in Scotland are shipped to the far east, shelled, then shipped back to be sold, been going on for years.

What's your solution then?

You misunderstood me. People that can do that (move a company over night) and knowingly leave 1000's of people out of work are not well liked. They will eventually get what they deserve.

Very disappointed with General Motors and their CEO, Mary Barra, for closing plants in Ohio, Michigan and Maryland. Nothing being closed in Mexico & China. The U.S. saved General Motors, and this is the THANKS we get! We are now looking at cutting all GM subsidies, including for electric cars. General Motors made a big China bet years ago when they built plants there (and in Mexico) - don’t think that bet is going to pay off. I am here to protect America’s Workers!

$49.5 Billion in 2009 for bailout?? How much of that went to the CEO and bonuses? Less than 10 years later they start closing plants down? Wow, the ingrates.

No one understands this more than me since I am married to an ex truck driver. Truckers used to get paid properly. Over the years when everyone else was getting raises truckers wages were being reduced to less than minimum wage.  They used to get paid good by the mile, paid for wait time etc etc. Now they get paid less by the mile and no wait time pay. My husband was going from Toronto to British Columbia and he would have to wait for a day or 2 for the back haul. No extra for sitting in a parking lot for 1 - 2 days. After a month he told the company to fk off because he was sick of the measly pay and waiting for his pay to come after countless times of asking for it. The trucking industry lost 90% of the highly skilled truckers in southern Ontario within a month. Now what's left is no skilled, can't read, write or speak english truckers that drive like mad men. Like the trucker that killed 3/4 of the Humboldt Bronco hockey team. It came out that he could not read english and did not understand what a STOP sign was. 2 weeks of training and was given a B train to drive???

Yea thats a strange rule in every country, no Western country lets their citizens drive without being tested, yet those same countries let anyone else drive (usually for up to 6 months) without traffic knowledge, eyesight tests, medically fit etc etc, always puzzled me?

Some provinces in Canada allow interpreters to help a non speaking english person to write a drivers test. Then give them a license knowing they will not know how to read road signs which makes no sense to me.

Every 3 years truckers have to go for an eye test, medical (any where between $100 and $300) and write a road test (updated laws).

I think they should do this to all drivers no matter what license grade you have. So many crazies out there.
