I was dickin around on youtube listening to doom music, and thought I'd share some. Most of you here probably played doom when it came out so many years ago, but those of you who didn't, it was one of the first FPS's that started it all. Without it, there probably never would have been a call of duty, etc. With ID Software's new IP(RAGE) dated to come out next year, I thought I would look back on the music of unarguably one of their best games, and one of the best games of all time. Enjoy the soundtracks, idiots. Cool

I also bought my first CL sound card and heard doom for the first time on my 486 SX computer....Used up many many hours of time with my two sons and I and the nephews playing all night on a null modem cable. The nephews could stay overnight but had to bring there computer along so everyone could deathmatch... Gosh that was fun... 1994 is the year I think.

The Giant spider with the machine gun was always a great challenge. :)

I also loved Duken Nukem 3D... "Come Get Sum" never forget that little sentence.........That was a great game too.......hmmm.. how hard would it be to revive those games online on a server??

awesome post. This brings back memories of when i first played Doom and Wolfenstein. I remember using a code in Wolfenstein to turn all enemies into Barney the Dinosaurs and they would all be singing the I love you song while getting shot in the head, it was great.

LOL the nostalgia! I just played doom the other day, I have a bootable CD that you start your PC with and it automatically runs em all, Doom, Quake, Hexen, Descent etc with tons of mods. Man all the secrets I forgot in Doom lol I used to know them all.

If anyone wants to play it online Zdaemon is my favorite Doom port. www.zdaemon.org There are a few others. I am usually up for a game :] The cursed games of ID software(Doom,Quake series) made me the addict I am today. It even partially influenced my career choice to an extent. If anyone wants good cuts of the Doom music tracks they were written by Bobby Prince. It may be a little difficult to find but here is a Amazon link which is out of stock.
