Ok I installed and all the patches. I know there is a way to run game without the disk help on that please. Everything I find on net is for win7 TY.

Sorry Nope not for the Retail version. Not without creating a full .ISO disk image and creating a Virtual Disk and mount the ISO.  It's a pain in the ass.  People have even tried adding it to there Steam library but it still start without the disk.  

The Steam version runs without a disk if you want to spend another damn $20.  https://store.steampowered.com/app/10090/Call_of_Duty_World_at_War/

You don't need a disc to play multiplayer only single player for COD 5.

Ok just like COD4 what I thought but when I installed it it never gave me the option to make desktop short cut. So I went in Activision folder only showed COD4 so I searched for WOW seen only one icon for it probably did the one for single player will look for another one tomorrow. Thanks @Hunter1948

@Mule the install would or should have both single and multiplayer . 

codwaw.exe and codwawmp.exe both located in the game directory.

And as noted above already, when playing multiplayer, you do not need the game disk in your PC.
