Hornets and Carpenter Bees pollinate so they count 🙂   Wasps/Mud Daubers (same family) do not pollinate, so they do not.  I have a few Hornet nests you can come collect !!   I try and leave them alone.  But when the dumb asses build nests close to the house, they are DESTROYED !!!  Wife is highly allergic to stings !!!  And she is an avid gardener too !!  Epi pen on stand by at all times.

I always remember the kindness of my best friend who gave me one of these just before he died after being stung by a wasp, that's a true friend even though I can't get it to write?
