Prices for Shovelheads on Craigslist & marketplace have become ridiculous. The people paying huge dollars for old glides must have never owned one before, they just aren't that great of a motorcycle. Found this ride in Indiana, 1994 FXDS w/6k miles on it. It's like brand new, and I got it for a song. I'm going to tool around locally for a bit, to shake it out, then head to San Antonio to rescue my car. After unloading & dead weight removal. I like my Superglides bare bones. That does look like a new bike. You should have to pay the seller a storage fee for holding it for you all this time. Now we best not see you doing any part of this. But if off chance LCB does try any of them tricks, DO NOT TRY AND STOP HIM. LCB becomes a raging bull on a bike. No compromising will work. J3st3r and TheLastColdBeer 2

Electrics were a pain but fond memories of it. Built it into a beautiful chopper. Now that was a new riding experience if you never rode a chopper. Beautiful Triumph! No fucking leaking like the shovels, and pan heads. I have two Evo's and they are great. I love the panheads as the old 50's scooters. Hard to ride my scooters these days with so much bullshit with texting, and peeps that should not be driving. My 1987 low rider is stock as a stove, with low miles, blue and sliver. I punched out the pipes, and I love it. Loud pipes saves lives. The 1988 sportster is modifed, slamed to the ground (lowered), and I powder coated some of the accessories, all black and orange. Gotta love Harleys, as it's music to my ears. TheLastColdBeer and ALanHim 2 Awards

My hearing is shot, & tinnitus is a constant reminder of hill climbs on screaming Elsinores & trips down the strip @ Cordova. Bone stock is lovely, quiet, & you can rip through the gears in town w/o drawing attention. Not to mention dodging the brain dead on their phones. I loved all pushrod twins. Beemers, BSAs, Nortons, Triumphs, owed & rode them all. Gas soaked hands from Amal ticklers, setting three sets of points on Tridents, & the monthly feeler gauge ritual for valve clearance. If I feel like it, I might scan some pics of my younger rides, but it's a little painful being reminded of everyone that's gone. ALanHim and rexbowan 2 Awards

Turn signal module had croaked. No replacement from Harley. Battery box hadn't been tightened down, so the box shorted out the starter. Bike died on the way into work, but coasted into the parking lot. Local bike shop had an aftermarket module, it works well, but I had to chop off the connector block & wire each line with a crimp on pin connector, per the factory manual. Charged the battery on a trickle, & re-wrapped the line into the starter. Tightened everything down, & so far so good. Drained the tank (gas was orange..eww) pulled the petcock, & yuck. Rust everywhere, reserve hole was completely blocked, & the strainer was broken & plugged. Drained the tank, & used the strained gas to flush out the Fat Bobs. New petcock installed, & fresh gas in. Not going out of pickup truck range until I'm confident. 30 years +6k miles = this bike sat a lot. Changing oil, primary, & transmission this weekend. lTplkey336, bds1961, BUDMAN and 1 other 4 Awards
