Has anyone had good luck when buying a CPU or GPU and it just working as is without having to adjust BIOS settings to make them run smoother? Seems like nowayfor ryzen and Intel CPU you have to turn some stuff off for better cooling and performance.

Mine has always worked well right out of the box. Maybe you need to look at how the air is flowing through your machine ??

Just built a new machine at the end of December, using an AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X 16-Core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Have minimal use so far but haven't had to adjust anything yet. Browsing internet, e-mail - runs at about 46 C

Just update BIOS & enable XMP/EXPO to get best RAM performance.

silly question

have you removed the protective film off the cooling block ? for seen that with other peoples first build.

Yes air flow through the case is important and specially if water cooling. for all the air pockets move them out of loop, as you know water is heavier than air.

if can get use of infared thermometer to check for hot spots. like heat sink not hot at all  means the film is still on bottom.

Additionally, you want negative pressure in a case: more force pulling out than pulling in.  Prevents hot air build-up in the case.

Make sure all the case fans are 4-socket plugs rather than 3-prong...which means they can be controlled by the mainboard when plugged into the fan headers.

Some cases come with 3-prong case fans which, although they'll be powered by the motherboard fan headers, they won't be controlled by the board.
