    We're having a classic El Nino weather year. When I moved to California in 1977 from southern Ohio, the winter of 76-77 there was well below zero for several weeks and it had never been like that before in my lifetime. That same winter California was experiencing their third winter of drought, and it's all the same weather we're all experiencing this year. The pattern repeats itself every 10-20 years. It may last another year or or two and it may end in a few weeks. There just isn't any way to tell for sure. It all has with warmer than usual ocean waters near the equator.

    The XLR stats are tied directly to the data feed from the main servers, and that data has been corrupted for weeks which is why our admin tools are having trouble. I'm sure Activision is looking for ways to dump the COD2 main server and eventually they'll do it. Hell maybe they already have stopped supporting it and our problems are the result.

    Here in California we're in the grips of a really nasty drought, so I'll probably be taking showers in a few weeks with a 10 oz bottled water to conserve what little we have left. But at least it was 72 F here today.

    Laptops are fine for gaming. I play COD2 every day of my life in my recliner chair with my feet up, and my laptop in my lap. No sore back and ass from sitting in a regular chair. Granted the screen sometimes isn't as big as I would like but I prefer a laptop for gaming and doing just about everything else.
