  1. I have Homefront - "challenging", isn't it?! Don't think the "Easy" skill level in SP is really easy as it is not! Have yet to try it in MP as I am hooked on Left 4 Dead 2 at the moment... Also have Metro 2033 on the way... So many games...
  2. We are half way through Lent and I received a newsletter today about these Lenten recipes to help us through the next half. Plenty of ideas for meat-free Fridays from around the world... Click: http://catholicism.about.com/od/catholicliving/tp/Lenten_Recipes.htm?nl=1
  3. Welcome to the forums, Muffin. Wish you success with the app - you're ticking all the right boxes as far as I am concerned so I hope the Admins admit you! See you in the game again very soon.
  4. Dragonboy Going to hop on when I get home tonight lol Have fun! And when you've finished, maybe we'll see you in-game?
  5. Though I am a fan of "Fred Scuttle" (Benny Hill), Monty Python's Quest For The Holy Grail remains a favourite decades after it had me crying with laughter in the cinema. There is something about the insult,"I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!".
  6. Well done, Markoff! You're doing XI proud!
  7. deejaykeg (but yet to make it to MP though I shall try it at some point).
  8. By chance, I put the TV on, last night, whilst grabbing a bite to eat and Michael Palin's series "Full Circle" (in which he tours the Pacific nations) was being shown. Where was he...Chiloe, Chile! This ten-minute excerpt shows the preparation of a traditional local BBQ that our forum's host would be very familiar with. And the programme says that people from there are "eccentric"! No, I cannot believe that... Enjoy - especially, Chile, for whom I hope it brings back happy memories:
  9. Hope you have a better experience with your model than I have had with the 24". It has convinced me never to buy another Samsung product! The touch controls freeze up and I have to unplug it to "reset" the thing. Also have a Samsung HD TV. Sony will get my money in the future...
  10. And I thought some football fans were psychotic... So relieved I don't like cricket!
  11. Song-writin' ain't what it used to be....[spits]
  12. Thanks, Pwr'. That was the decade of my childhood and though life in the UK was somewhat different to that in North America (the only time I saw burgers was when the fun fair visited Hampstead Heath!), I still rate the music as among the best ever written and performed. On a serious note, the 1960s were not only the years when old traditions and values were thrown out and the young gained a voice, but also when the rot began to set in. Future historians may chart the decline of western civilisation from that decade.
  13. Now we know your short-term memory lasts nine days...LOL! http://www.xtremeidiots.com/fora_topic.asp?tid=15784
  14. Welcome, Morris! Look forward to delivering a special 'welcome present' when we play next (in a satchel).
  15. Over two years since it was released and received several awards, I have discovered the GOTY Edition of "Left 4 Dead" and have been blown away by it. What a superb game! For those unfamiliar with it, it's a zombie survival type of game by the makers of Half Life etc. Gruesome, bloody but with lots of humour in it too. I saw this inside one of the safe rooms where one gets health kits, weapons and ammo before moving out again to do battle with "The Infected". It is as if there had been some Idiots sheltering there... LOL! Having completed half the single-player missions in the first day of play, I guess I'll soon be buying Left 4 Dead 2!
  16. Bush', it may help lower your blood pressure a little to read this: http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/government/a/proposed_28th_amendment.htm
  17. Vraiment formidable, Olive!
  18. Some of those shows got sold to foreign stations like the BBC so we got to see them later, in the mid-Sixties. Yes, black and white only for me too. I remember when one of my school friends told us his Dad had bought a colour TV! Wow! That was something special - he was a rich builder who could afford it! We all wanted to go round to his house to see it. Sure, there's more in the number of available channels and shows made but a large percentage of drama/ comedy/ entertainment is mindless shit these days...
  19. F*ck 'em! They won't get another penny out of me. I'll apply the patch and see if the game actually works after doing so, though.
  20. Damn, Maz'! You had me worrying about you till I got to the part about testicles!
  21. US singer Loleatta Holloway, best known for her vocals which were sampled on Black Box's 1989 hit Ride On Time, has died at the age of 64. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-12822122
  22. fruittropics 3rdCdnInfty yeah, clan members only, sorry dude, but hey, play on our servers long enough, play fair and hard and one day you can be an Idiot like us lol and get yourself some medals. LOL. Gotta love your fat girl lover medal! that's a rare one! I love IRISH men!!! or SCOTTISH!! Damn sexy Damn Damn sexy accent. The recent St Patrick's celebration has drawn alot of my attention to the hidden Irish men found in canada I overlooked before. Och aye? Begorrah! Now dere's a ting!
  23. So far, of the new maps I have seen, I like many. There's only one really terrible map in this rotation: Iceworld. I know I am not alone in detesting it (and declining to play it). Thank you, Beers and Johnny, for your hard work.
  24. And...OK again today. Very odd. The fix MAY be to select ones profile once the game has loaded (even if you only have one). However, I didn't do anything special this morning and connected immediately to the DM server.
  25. Installed it here. Pros include ability to magnify pages using CTRL +; Cons are that plug-ins that work with 3.6 may or may not work with 4.0. Overall, I'd have to say that my first impressions are favourable. There's less clutter and more of the web page is visible without having to scroll.
