@SGTSmeg you asked a question about growing garlic.
I grow the Hard neck variety called Music. Hard neck have fewer but larger cloves per bulb. They(Hard neck) have a woody stock in the centre. They are more hardy in colder, northern areas and tend to last longer. 
Depending on location and severity of winter HN are planted in the fall 2-3 weeks before the ground freeze’s. This allows the garlic clove to set roots. HN garlic must go through a cold dormant spell before sprouting in the very early spring. HN garlic can withstand diverse soil types but really loves a soil with a lot of organic matter. Most garlic plantings benefit from a thick layer of mulch when planted. The mulch alleviates multiple freeze thaw cycles which will damage the new developing roots. I live 2 miles from the coast and experience several drastic freeze thaw cycles most winters. Therefore I use a very thick mulch, I even have to hold the mulch down with weighted wire fence material or it will blow away.  
HN garlic produce a flower step called a scape. The scapes should be removed allowing the garlic to concentrate on bulb development rather than flowering. The flower turns to a thing called bulbils. Bulbils can be planted but it would take 2-3 years to propagate bulbs of an size.
Garlic must be dried out of the sun with good air circulation for 2-3 weeks. This allows the nutrition from the leaves to be drawn into the cloves.  Once dried the roots and stocks should be cut off the dirt can be rubbed off not washed as water will promote rot. One of the thin skins should be removed allowing for a very clean pristine garlic bulb. Here are a couple of pictures from last year’s crop after being cleaned up.

If you are wondering what the heck I’m doing growing so much food? I just enjoy gardening! I love sharing with family, friends, neighbours and anyone who visits. I particularly love sharing with people needing a little help. Some days I make up little packages and deliver them to my senior relatives. It’s always nice to help out the local soup kitchens. Nothing goes to waist. 
I love canning string beans, tomatoes and things. My onions and potatoes last 4-6 months, the garlic lasted from August last year until June this year….we ran out I gave too much away lol.

I'm not sure how bad your issues are, but maybe there are a few things you could adjust to try and help? Not sure if you have tried playing with the contrast/brightness settings on your monitor? That can make a difference. Not sure how new/old your monitor is either, as the newer ones can be a lot better than models from 5-10 years ago.

Also, in cod4 as an example, you can use the command /r_gamma 1 (number between 0.5 and 3) to adjust brightness quickly between maps. Some maps play much better around 1 (generally stock maps), average for me is around 1.6, and some need over 2. This will probably depend on your own monitor settings though.

Just spray from a SAW, drop random Betties and Nades like I do, you'll be fine lol 

FYI older rotations were just used twice recently (two weeks ago and the week before that). I'm not sure how it was during the day when most of the EU players were on, but when I played later at night, I heard some complaints about a handful of the maps and some were skipped.
My main concern has always been to try and use maps that most players like (even if they're not ones I typically like) and to avoid the server killers. That said, I've certainly tried out a few in my rotations that weren't well received, but I've always been receptive to feedback, taken note of when players complain or want to skip them, and avoided using those maps in future rotations. And I've always said (as has Pengy): if anyone has any maps that they like and want to play, they can always make requests. Or do an entire rotation. It's not for everyone, but I find it fun! 🙂

You must have heard about it because British media have banged on and on about it, we have a mini heatwave where for 2 days the temp MAY reach 40 degrees C in some parts of the country. Trains can't run, people being told to stay home and more government warnings than a third world war, amazingly from the same people who jet off for a fortnight in Turkey or the Maldives, where it apparently doesn't have the same effect. Those in Aussie, Florida or California would get a chuckle at this lot, do your trains stop too?

This chart is essentially proxy for the acceleration rate of interest expense for the US government, and has been a reliable indicator of fed pivot for 30+ years as the fed has ensured the US doesn't enter a debt death spiral. What is a debt death spiral?  It's an increasingly large debt load,  with ongoing deficit, that only gets exponentially larger as interest expense increases. The treasury has to issue more bills/notes/bonds to fund interest which drives up supply and can overwhelm demand thus increasing interest expense even more as yields increase and this spirals out of control, with the only way to make payments being issuing even more treasuries.(i.e. cranking the money printer) For the past 33 years the fed has used monetary policy to ensure this spiral doesn't occur. To avoid this, the fed will need to pivot soon otherwise they risk having to do even more easing and monetizing of debt down the road. To keep this line 'inbounds' they need the middle of the curve to fall ~75bp between now and the 28th. Looking more and more like this ends in either Great Depression 2.0 or Weimar style hyperinflation. If the Fed follows through with a .75 bp raise in a couple weeks, they would be knowingly blowing up the system.

This weekend was a slightly different weekend from your normal weekend, Saturday we did the Celebration Of Life for my Dad who passed back in February, buncha family ad friends over and shared stories and laughs and a final goodbye
Then Sunday comes along and I met my Son who is 29 tomorrow and I have not seen since he was about 1 year old and also got to meet my Granddaughter for the very first time!
Little quick backstory, I was a shitty teen, in and out of trouble with the law, kicked outta my house, kicked outta school, got my girlfriend at the time pregnant, I was 17, she was 16, I went to jail for 1 year when she was 3 months pregnant, got out, got into more trouble almost right away and back into jail for 9 months. She had enough and took him and started a life without me, TOTALLY Understandable, I harbor no ill will to her at all, she made the best choice she could being 17 and with a child. My life was in shambles. I moved out of that town to the town I live in now, got into drugs, ended up in jail another time. I was about 22 or so by the time I got my shit together and realized it was not the life I wanted to live if I wanted to see 30.
I asked around about him and her to a few mutual friends and found out she was married and had a couple more kids with a guy and that Jessie (my son) was being raised to believe that this other guy was his father, he was doing great in school, was set in a life and I spoke with my parents and came to the conclusion it would not be right to disrupt his life at that developmental age and if things were ment to be then things would happen in their time
Well I guess his grandfather spilled the beans about 7 years ago to him and he found me on Facebook. We have been talking for the last 7 years, getting to know each other, I always told him the ball was in his court as to when or if he would like to meet up in person, and fully explained everything that went on and told him it was all my doing and his Mother just did what she thought was best. We did the 23 and Me DNA matching ad it all came back that he was mine (His Mom still claims it wasnt me, so, for peace of mind for him and I we did it at his request) 
well we finally met up this weekend! afterwards he sent me a text saying that for 29 years he has felt like the black sheep of the family and in 1 afternoon my family made him feel so at home and natural, yeah I may have gotten dust in my eye at that
