The bubble thing should have been taken care of but I will check it out.

I will look into seeing if a script fix will take care of it. I am hoping a simple 'on the ground' check will do it like is done for objectives.

Thats the luck of the draw. With the 8-kill package you might get an RC. The attack package shouldnt have a cuav. Only lethal streaks. But if this is not the case let me know. -

I wonder if the original texts used for the Bible had an 'oops' in it but the church took it out like so many of the other things it did. Who truly believes that the male leader of a large number of totally devout followers wouldnt be getting in on with all the female members throwing themselves at his feet? There are some things in the Bible that ask too much to be believable. Seriously, what 20-something male is going to listen to daddy when 1000's of women are ready to bang him but he says no? Commandments from God on stone tablets carried down a mountain by an old man? Yup. The son of God getting some? Not a chance!

The problem is, too many players want to be Ahnold with their rifle that has unlimited ammo and always hits what it shoots at. From the hip as always. And of course fighting enemies that cant hit water if they fell out of a fucking boat. Yup, that is an old movie quote but still a good one and relevant.

Many use mp3s. But considering the huge amount of space on drives I tend to rip stuff with flac. So yea if the music itself is really good... not the hiphop stuff of today nor Miley.. a sound card can make a difference. As they say, garbage in garbage out. If however most of your music is from streaming or things like itunes purchases the onboard sound is fine. Oh and it also certainly depends on how good your headphones or speakers are.

Yup its coming along. There is already an earlier version of it on the other server. Called OW2 1.45i mod. Currently set to 12 players but I can increase that. Soon as I get more of the hint message stuff moved it should be ready for next round of beta testing. See the other thread about that.

Thats why they added noobie guns to MW2 and later. So 8 year olds could have a chance. Why 8yo can play a game rated M is another story.

Could you be more specific how that works? Are you talking about regular spawn protection or the protection after leaving the car? I am pretty sure the radiation part, once its applied to whoever is in range, is done. Like a flashbang. But its been awhile since I looked at it and maybe its supposed to act like gas. A request for everyone: The 'hint' message at the bottom that says 'you will respawn next round'. What other kinds of messages show up there and when + which gametypes? Also the timer underneath it? I have been moving for the mod update notification msgs like press F to retrieve explosive from the top but in the lower part of the screen but there is very little room for stuff. I may need to move things around. The printline for player kills and server notifications on the left can get pretty long and conflict with other elements.

There is a great deal of internet traffic these days especially with all the streaming services that just keep getting bigger. Maybe the heavier use is starting to show flaws or malfunctioning equipment that werent noticed before. Or there are shenanigans.

California is probably #1 in the amount of love people have for their cars even with sitting in constant traffic every day. Gotta send your kids to school 1/4 a mile away? Get the mega SUV. Carpool? Thats only for the little people. I know its just as bad in many other states but the fact CA has such a huge population its worse. Train projects fail because people would rather spend 2 hrs in traffic getting to work than 1 hr sitting back in a train reading the paper. Result? Terrible air pollution but its not nearly as bad as it used to be. Gotta love it when you see people whine like little kids about smog checks for their cars.

As for 'nobody checks'... I hate to burst your bubble but I make mod comparisons and run the mods all the time. Find out where the differences are. If something looks suspicious work it out and see what it is doing different. Currently there are three mods in the developer workspace. "Programmers Notepad" if anyone knows what that is. The acr one, noacr, and the next 1.45. In actual fact I spend far far far far far more time on this mod than I should be but I do it because I want it to work and be fun. There is lag this and lag that. But does it happen when everybody is running around? When one team is mostly frozen? When a lot of people are defrosting at the same time? Maybe defrosting two at the same time? During certain streaks? Certain maps? Who knows maybe there is no lag at all in TDM or other objective games. But of course nobody will play TDM to find out. 'The old one is better'. Yea? All I see is "oh wheee acr!". That kind of thing tells me some of the problem isnt lag but that the people that dont aim their weapon and have to deal with recoil suck. "Realism" games generally dont succeed because of this. This is a common issue. In the gaming world crybabies all over the place so what do developers do? Reduce or remove recoil in the next game. Money and making sales is what is important not game balance. They say it is, but its about the money. Ok done with the rant and on to other things.

I made a small change, should be running next map, for care package owner 'retrieve' messages. Works correctly here but uploaded try it out on the server. Instead of the bold print line at the top it will be on the bottom part that uses the lower message line the game uses for stuff like "you will spawn next round". Unfortunately because of string limitations I cannot have specific ones for each type... airstrike/rc/etc... but a generic one that is used for all of them. I figure the icon at the top is good enough for knowing what is in it. Keep a look out for errors and anything about running out of unique strings. If this works I will be able to do it in some more places without having to recompile the mod.

Even a day at the shopping center is much more enjoyable now. Even in places like Costco you get the occasional tall blonde with short shorts and small T.

Once in awhile we get Navy F18s flying into and out of the airport. Usually higher ranking officers that come for a weekend of golf while they also visit the facilities in the area. When they leave they dont quite go over my house, maybe a mile or so away, but once they are over the ocean they love to pour on the gas.

1: I assume you mean the EMP on the car. Yea I think currently, when the car is over, it still affects you for a short time. I see how that doesnt exactly seem right. Because player clones are not enabled (meaning you cannot be shot or hit by EMP directly) it gives the nade a little extra. Consider it feedback from a little car with a video link to you that went phft that overloaded your electronics. Some people call this a bug, others call it a 'feature'. However I suppose I should add hardwired so if you have that the feedback wont affect you. 2: I could but that little change requires adding another custom version of a menu item. There is very little room for adding custom menus and that is hardly worth it. Add too many and the server crashes. But perhaps there is a graphical thing I can do... using existing materials... that tells people what happened. I am open to ideas. Long term, for the next update, is maybe use the same ones for 'defrosting' but I have to be careful there are no conflicts. If you are standing next to an explosive, with the message, but start defrosting someone what should that text element do? What should it do when you stop defrosting? All those little things have to be accounted for or you get wierdness or script errors. Parts of that requires rebuilding the mod so I cant do it on the current one with script changes.
