Um dude, you already posted your Wednesday Confession... So you need to rename this thread to Rob's Wed CONFUSION. Why not just have one thread called Rob's Confessions, and add a new post every day? That way you aren't opening up a new thread every day. 2 cents

This is bitter sweet, bless his heart, our lives are our song. This guy is 72 and gosh he still has the voice. Sad, bitter sweet to watch folks age, but OMG "We Are Still HERE" (Another song he sings, bless his heart) What a nice guy he is.

Anyone know anything about the Stock Market?
Majbasil replied to RobMc's topic in General Discussion
Well, I am a dabbler, was raised by a dad who invested, who was raised by an investor, I did genealogy, and oh my goodness, my family has been investing all along as far back as I can go into the 1700's in Europe. So OK my 2 cents. Start now, don't care how old or how poor one is, start now. Only have 10 cents, put 1 cent aside, in a piggy bank. Every day do that. Then, when the piggy bank is full, take it to the bank. When the bank account is say $1000 or more, invest in ( for the USA a ROTH IRA, best example for the beginner in the USA) something set up for retirement savings. Expenses come and go, this "piggy bank" is never, ever, ever to be spent. No you cannot go on that vacation or buy that new outfit or buy that dessert with that money. THAT MONEY IS YOUR FUTURE, YOUR SECURITY, YOUR PEACE OF MIND. OK now about the stock market crashing or what not... it does happen from time to time, you can study the history of ups and downs, they happen, it sucks, but they happen. Which is why you never, ever, ever need that "piggy bank". So, instead of worrying about the next crash, be like that turtle in the race with the rabbit, keep on walking, keep on investing up and downhill, keep on going. Where to invest for the beginner? For an American, I look at the S&P 500 - index fund is easy peasy as a start. Later on, you can get more creative and speculative with additional amounts, but the sound and true place to invest after all these years is an indexed fund by a great, reputable company like Vanguard for the top 500 companies. https://investor.vanguard.com/home here is info about the specific fund I recommend to the beginner --> https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/profile/VFINX DON"T WORRY, BE HAPPY, WEAR MASKS, don't spread the virus, that is the best way this go round to prevent global disaster "the likes of which the world has ever seen". Try to live below your income, bad times happen, be financially prepared for them. (Gee that sounds like a commercial.) -
So sorry!

HOWDY! You are fun to play with. See you in the maps!

OMG a post from Gothic!!! HELLO!!! Oh, sorry you are pissed at a gamer, that sucks, but hey don't we all get pissed off from time to time for this and that. About that, I do love the MUTE button, use it almost everyday, not going to name names, but I do not like getting yelled at to defrost me or blah blah blah, or that I did not tell someone about a clay or whatnot, shesh, when it is loud and in your face, I use that beloved mute button a lot... NOW IF ONLY I HAD A MUTE TEXT BUTTON, I would use that too, some folks, myself included oops sorry type too damn much in game... Here is my motto about having to read text in game. 1. It better be funny 2. OR it better be about the game, location of enemy, etc. 3. OR if it is just chatter, make it quick cause I have a game to play, enemies trying to kill me, enemies to try to kill, and a lot of teammates that need defrosting. OK SO, now that Gothic has posted, so you also play as Snow White. And now we understand why you don't talk in game, I assumed it was cause you didn't know English, but yes you do! GOOD TO KNOW! About that tongue issue, yes get it biopsied asap, hope for the best, plan for the worst, get those things investigated, modern medicine is amazing, truly amazing, don't worry, one time I had to have my tongue stitched up, cannot remember why, I do end up getting hurt from time to time, oops, but the shots of numbness wasn't bad, I just kept singing a song over and over in my head and counting, I do count seems to calm me down. Do what the doctors and nurses say, they will probably want you to gargle with salt water, etc. do that, in no time all will be well and you will forget all about it.

Crytpocurrencies!!! - Bitcoin, Etherum, Litecoin, Bla bla bla
Majbasil replied to FunStick's topic in General Discussion
As I was raised by my brilliant dad to invest for the future, but invest wisely, I will give you this advice... If you have that pyramid scheme stuff, dump it asap, and never, ever get any fake stuff again. Don't watch that fancy, shiny ball, it is fool's gold. All investing is pretty much gambling to be honest, so buy that which is real, that which adds value to society and the world in general. 2 cents -
Pawleys Island, SC. Famous Grey Man, actually, there are loads of ghost stories and legends from South Carolina and North Carolina as well. But Pawleys Island, yep, has haunts. Thing is, not scary, not creepy at all, so I feel as though the ghosts are harmless and as the legend of the grey man goes, trying to be helpful. https://www.pawleysisland.com/blog/haunted-pawleys-island/

Yes, my friend and I were walking on the beach and heard laughing and talking (we were searching for our older siblings who went out for a walk with some of their friends.) We had a flashlight, it was a rather dark night, but not windy. PLEASE NOTE that the island where we vacationed every year is famous for ghost sightings and stories. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gray_Man_(ghost) We knew the island and the dunes and beach very well, knew our way around. We simply wanted to join their party... OK so, walking along the sandy trail, we said hey I hear them, yes there they are, they are ahead of us towards the beach. So, we went up the last dune and my friend had her flashlight down on the sand and we saw 4 people just standing there about say 20 feet from the water at the beach. We kept calling out to them, and they did not respond or even act like they heard us, actually, the talking and laughing we had heard while walking up to the beach just stopped. I asked my friend to shine the flashlight to their faces, maybe this isn't them, cause that was bizarre them not even responding to us. When the flashlight got to their faces, they ALL DISAPPEARED. She said, Oh My GOD! NO ONE IS THERE!!! We looked at each other, screamed, and ran back to my house. Turns out our siblings and friends weren't even on the beach, they had gone to the local pinball arcade at the pier (which a hurricane destroyed some time later.) To this day we still have no idea what we saw, we call it ghosts, no one else on that side of the island was out and about. And they disappeared in front of us, one second there, the next poof gone. So yes, I have seen it. Sure would like a scientific explanation for all the weirdness out there.

The fellow I dated in college was nutso about collecting cards, so I would go with him to conventions and pick up those that fit in my own interests lol... Then, much to my surprise, after I got married to my husband and during one of our moves I found his "stash" O M G. (Who KNEW?) Needless to say, I have cards of all ages, types, like we have our own shop. LOL We have moved 4 times in 4 years lately, and I still have not gotten to the bins that contain those... IF and WHEN I do find them I will let you know what I have, and yes, I'd be up for selling - When we lived in Virginia we had a really huge house, as we move and downsize, I don't want all this stuff so much. I would give you XI's first dibs before selling on ebay or international auction houses, how's that? (It might be 2022 before I find them... just sayin.) Make a top 20 cards he on his list and post it

Sounds good, maybe his body just needed to adjust to the treatments and so now it is easier for the body to deal with it? With all those great, grand babies, wow lucky him! Thanks for the update

SO so sorry! Scary news! Isn't it wonderful that it was discovered though? Now they can be working on fixing things up so she will have many, many, many more years! I am always amazed at modern medicine and what they can do nowadays. Try not to worry, let her know how much you love her. You are a great dad.
