  1. l lived in Ashburn, Virginia for many years, and those DC Fourth of July fireworks were GREAT!!! I cannot remember what year it was, but one time I was flying into Regan National Airport right when the fireworks were going off, that was crazy cool seeing them up close and personal. (We don't live in Virginia anymore, but cool cool that so many of you still live in the metro DC area.)
  2. lol Good idea OK now what you going to do? She just saw this post you made...
  3. Heck toss in photos of burley Scottish men with those hairy muscly legs wearing those fine tartan skirts and I am in... (disclaimer, my husband has Scottish Armstrong blood - and American Indian Cherokee blood, no wonder I married him.) Hello...
  4. Here is my take on this. He was a scumbag, karma did it's job. About that condo that collapsed, so far my take on that is that the HOA found out about the issues and kept postponing recommended repairs to 1. prevent astronomic condo fee increases and 2. no inconvenience themselves and the condo owners of the mess, noise and disruption. ERGO, is the HOA liable? Maybe. Either way, horrible tragedy, but looks like it could have been prevented/postponed. Look. Nothing lasts forever, dams, bridges, buildings sooner or later "break". We humans are smart enough to make these things, but then dumb enough to prevent disasters from those made things, from time to time. We need wise regulations and follow up laws that make sense. And so on and so forth. Gosh, here I am typing this when I could be in a map shooting at you idiots...
  5. Pitbullpete lives in the suburbs of Boston, about 30 - 45 minutes west, I think, so ask him. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Products-g60745-Boston_Massachusetts.html# My daughter has been telling me about and wanting us all to go to the Halloween/October in Salem, Massachusetts activities, might be fun - scary too maybe? https://www.hauntedhappenings.org/ I was actually just up around Boston myself a week or so ago, and so far my favorite "dining experience" this year in the Boston area was at this restaurant - yummy, adorable and fun --> https://thehavenjp.com/ As for Maine, to be honest with you, it is chilly even in the summer, so if you go up there, go during summer, 2 cents. Try to get a sail around the coast - beautiful and awesome.
  6. My daughter wants us to go there for that Salem Halloween thingie in Mass, so who knows? We might just be there too. AS FOR WDW, as the kid still I am, I make sure to go there about every 2 years as soon as we could afford it, here are my two cents... If you don't do the night life stuff, for example, have kids to get to sleep, stay in a Disney off site condo with a kitchen, washer dryer, multiple bath rooms... if you do it right you still get the Disney perks like early entry, maybe even cut lines, and so on. Not sure what the details are now post covid, so many things it seems have changed. There actually ARE some really fun and cool restaurants off of WDW and sometimes it is nice to get away from those Mouse Ears if you know what I mean. EPCOT. My personal fav, the other parks are just other things to do, but that new Star Wars, hmmm, imho disappointing, but hey gotta see it anyhow. STUFF FOR SALE. Pass - don't waste your money, resist, resist, resist the temptation. Share meals, drink water it is free. I personally don't like the bus transportation, takes forever imho. BUT, those water transports from say Wilderness Lodge, very cool, worth the wait and time. TOWER OF TERROR, even for those afraid of such things, it is rather fun, recommend even if you hate rollercoasters. Don't go when the crowds are crazy! GET THERE EARLY AND RUN TO THE RIDES, Get on the rides when stuff like parades and fireworks are going off AND, IMHO, Universal Studios is so much funner! The Harry Potter areas are way cool. A step above everything else in Orlando, even if you don't like the Harry Potter movies/books, those areas are super fun and cool. NEED A BREAK FROM ORLANDO FOR A DAY? Easy drive to Clearwater Beach (West coast of FL) for a swim, so pretty and yummy seafood too. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. IT BETTER KNOCK OUR SOCKS OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.techradar.com/news/battlefield-6-release-date-trailer-news-and-rumors
  8. Well, Sourtap has a lovely daughter! Who Knew? No wonder you haven't been gaming as much, you have an adorable cutie to run around and watch over! CONGRATS!!! ENJOY!!! (They grow up super fast, so cherish every moment.)
  9. 2 cents. Obviously for me, I do not tend to take advantage of the game imperfections like the super duper hop/or hopping like a bunny everywhere all the time, or the medic invisible run and kill other team from the back sorts of things (or managing to get on impossible roofs/ledges, hiding in water or things that are solid looking but oops can hide in there... I just play the game, whatever set up it is. I rather do like this particular server for the adorable cars, all the killstreaks of this and that and like that you can pick your own goodies. Plus alot of you guys are plain funny. At this point, for anyone who is horrible enough of a human being to cheat, to use cheats, well you SUCK and I feel pity for you and your life. What sort of a messed up person needs to do that? SEEK PROFESSIONAL ATTENTION, YOU ARE ILL IN THE HEAD. Just sayin. Back to this issue of trying to make some changes about this and that to the server, it is the job of the clan owners and admins to decide these things. Making things fun imho are super cool and thanks! About all those whiners about the heist perk, I like the heist perk. Those of you who hoard your goodies will have that possibility that your stuff will be stolen from you if you die, - USE IT OR LOSE IT MAYBE. UNLESS you give up a perk to prevent that. Easy Peasy. Wine wine wine... Most of everyone that plays on this server are fun loving, love the game, are having a fine time. And isn't that wonderful? Big hug NOW GET BACK IN THE MAP SOLDIER!
  10. Go for it Rugger, let's give it a go! 2 secs invisibility... and only 3 seconds for the medics... sounds like a plan.
  11. LOL ROB, getting off the floor now, and wiping laughter tears off my eyes. Yes, believe it or not, I on occasion do kill successfully with my little three shot wonder, just got lucky hehe. NOW ABOUT DEPRESSION: Yes, I think most of us know at least one person who has killed himself/herself. We are complicated we really, really are. How many of us from time to time get super depressed and so on? I think this modern society of ours is not super great for us. Too many folks live alone, especially the older generation! They are super lonely. Just driving to and fro everywhere stopping at every damn intersection for the light is super depressing for many. We need sunshine, we need community, we need to be productive and so on. I have found that groups with similar issues really help, for example, I have chronic migraines and it sucks! I have a group of folks and we all discuss our migraine stuff and we feel so much better being able to complain, sympathize, and be in this together in our group. I think of it as group counseling. Another thing, some folks brains just don't have enough "happy stuff" in them, hence the meds like PROZAC works! To anyone who talks about suicide, or being depressed, I do mention the benefits of Antidepressants. It helps the brain get back to where it is supposed to be, with plenty of Serotonin. https://www.healthline.com/health/mental-health/serotonin But wait there is more:
  12. I think the title Socialist Country is misused for the most part. Some countries, like China, (see the bottom quote) might be worded as a Socialist Country, but in my mind it is plain and simple Communist / Dictatorship - like. When I think of real, working, functioning well Socialist Countries, I think of ones that are based on Capitalism yet with a wide range of social programs. The list below of countries, THOSE are what I think of as the real McCoy of Socialist Countries. These countries below are the best examples of what some folks think of by the term Socialist Countries, which I disagree - nope they are Communist - Dictatorship - like imho. 2 more cents tossed in.
  13. Dude, "Socialism" isn't the problem, bad management is. From my research about British Healthcare, it seems that it is quite simply vastly underfunded. What the world needs is great leaders, with compassion, intelligence, education, wisdom and common sense. Kids need to be raised with the education of different societies and governments and hash out the pros and cons of each, the dangers and past mistakes, history is so very important to understand as tragically, it does repeat itself over and over and over again. Greed and selfishness and all those "evil" traits in an ideology/leader are what get everyone eventually suffering and miserable. Please note who the happiest folks on earth are, they live in "Socialist" countries. Hmmm just think of it, being "happy"... what a concept. 2 cents

  15. If it is real news, I follow it. Yes, this whole Icelandic volcano action stuff is crazy crazy. Years ago, I was a little girl who found herself in a little plane flying around Iceland, above a new volcano and it scared me so much, I was convinced that the volcano was going to "burp" up lava and kill us all in that little plane. And, I do worry about all the "tourists" standing imho too close to the lava / volcano situation. Things happen unexpectedly, nature is like that. Do I worry MORE about super volcanos? That all this volcanic activity lately will awaken one or more of the Earth's super volcanos? KInda... I wonder though if due to the climate changes ( melting ice, altering land mass weight, disruption of the inner core distribution, wobbling / shifting of the North and South Poles) have alot to do with this current situation, which then gets me wondering if yes then oops for the next say 200 years. Just thinking out blog.
  16. Nice, see you in the maps!
  17. NIce, I remember your original name, and like your current name. Howdy
  18. What a surprise, you never posted your hello or photo before after all these years? HOWDY
  19. OH dear, so so sorry about all this mess you have been dealing with. Yikes some folks can be really horrible human beings. Here is what I have to say: 1. Condoms, condoms, condoms, do not trust that someone "new" says they are on the pill or whatever, keep yourself safe from lots of trouble. 2. Date all you want, but if/when you find that special person you adore, who adores you and who you both decide to have a family and be a family with - THEN you marry her. After your "honeymoon phase" and you know you both want a family, THEN you go for it. A guy can be a happy great dad at any age, so don't feel like you are in a hurry. It is the female, to be honest, that has a clock. I think, for example, George Cluny, age 60 or so, is a happy dad, with a wonderful wife who adores him and they both wanted a family, I think she is in her 40's. 3. You are a young one. You have lots of time. 4. At least for me, being a parent is the best thing ever. But to have to deal with it as a single parent situation, that would suck and be really, really hard - having to give up your child a lot and not able to be there full time, that would be heart breaking. Aim for NOT that. I hope any of that motherly advice helps dear one. Bee yourself, and bee happy!
  20. Catching up on TV shows from the past, lately we binge watched Stranger Things (loved it actually - creepy and fun too weird) Designated Survivor (Great acting imho) Sherlock (Fantastic wonderful...) Jericho
  21. Cool cool! Nice to "meet you".
  22. The American Conservative mindset is that the USPS should be privatized. Efforts have been ongoing to dismantle the USPS. The current head of the USPS is doing all he can to have the USPS dismantled. I have had so many issues lately with USPS, everyone seems to. I believe the USPS is important for a healthy society and in part is the center of all towns around the country. LONG LIVE THE USPS. Vote wisely folks, pay attention to the news, follow the money, who benefits, who suffers, ask why, when and what for. https://www.epi.org/publication/the-war-against-the-postal-service/
  23. That generation of soldiers did not talk about their times there, and now most of them are gone. World War 2 was the definitive good vs evil war. And yet there are always similar local battles of good vs evil. Humans are the most dangerous species on earth. World War 2 shows the devastation, horror, pain, grief, suffering and overall waste of what can happen when we humans have bad leaders. My wish is that we DO learn from past mistakes, that we not let petty hate and fear of the difference in us, along with greed of the few in charge, take over and ruin things, as it does over and over and over. Let us be wise and good and kind and thoughtful. Amen
