I'ts a sound problem Bazz we seem to get posts on this every couple of weeks, most people get the odd problem with it, the thing that usually works best for me is updating my sound drivers but sometimes i have to uninstall game first, then update drivers then install game to new drivers etc, sounds long winded but it seems to work for me, you could google it you will get quite a few possible solutionsSmile Or just thought if you just updated your sound drivers and this just started happening then you could try rolling your drivers back.

yep it a sound thing, had same problem and ended up using mobo sound to fix my iw3mp problem, with a driver update.

sometimes it could be that you need your mic plugged in and not muted.

Yes check if you have Realtek HD Audio.

If so, go to www.realtek.com.tw

Click there on the right hand "HD Audio" and go from there.

After you installed it and rebooted, check in Control Panel - Sound that your devices it set ok ("as standard"). Don't blame COD4 as Windows doesn't have the fine version of the Realtek driver.

True, sometimes for the Realtek HD drivers, you have to uninstall it again, reboot and try the update again. :)

Btw: You have a ATi(amd) videocard?

oh yeah btw, you should go into your cod4 and copy your config files which will allow you to keep all of your player info ie: player stats and keyboard config so you don't lose it again. Also update it everyonce in a while so if you do lose it you won't lose much :)

If your afraid of losing your config file, get a sync program and sync you profile folder to a second folder. It will copy your profiles to a secondary place so is you crash , there's always a recent copy.
