LEGMAN...his ping, which is normally 350+ and seems to be causing others issues. We noticed more lag once he got on and Ghost had the same opinion that he was causing lag. I'm not sure what we can do but that seems like a pretty ridiculous ping and would cause issues, correct??? I tried to take a screenshot but it only turned out black as an image. Cavey, Heffalump, Ghost and others were in there. Could we possibly do something to limit pings like this???

I'm not the most technological person but ghost thought that his ping was lagging everyone else so maybe setting it at 300 would help. Since he's not in XI, probably not an issue for him personally (although he is a good guy, just has a terrible ping!) but do we have any members with pings over 300? Yeah that would be me - I normally run around 275 on a good day but run over 300 about 20% of the time. I also posted in another thread, and the feedback I got was that us members in Australia/NZ didn't seem to be causing a problem. That said, 300 seems to be a reasonable ping limit, and I would support it if it looks like it's causing problems for the majority.
 Awards

We didn't get this issue with these high ping people in the past, so it isn't them that is causing the issue. I'm sure that it's the mod or game host. However we didn't originally get it with the mod, so probably changes by the game host???

However, I did ask the question if the servers that were having issues, were they directly streaming to pbbans, or via the text file system. I don't know. I could look at the ultrastats as a last resort, to see if the cronjobs are causing issues, however we would be experiencing this on all servers reporting Ultrastats, which isn't the case. I still believe it must be a game host change or a problem with the mod. Again however, Rugger said the mod hadn't changed and we didn't get this problem before. So if we are experiencing this on many server which are hosted by the same game host, I think that is an avenue that needs to be looked at. In fact more often than not it is not. My bet would be on something else being the culprit. Legman played on FT WAW quite a bit and his ping had absolutely no bearing on the game. PROBLEM: Lag on servers or frequent Connection Interrupts (CIs) SOLUTION: Tell the Government to stop HAXING the internet!!! I strongly believe large providers (Comcast in my case) are not behaving in a smart manor. I do ping traces in NeoTrace and sent them to Comcast many times trying to get down to why I would lag. After my Nth time trying to explain to them what was up, I finally got the answer from them. They said their routing system, which routes the internet traffic from hub to hub in the event of traffic was an automated system that had no manual override and it was old and needed to be updated. This system, for instance, using myself as an example brings me from California (San Francisco) to XI's Server ONE - 208.100.0.133 - In Chicago. But here is "THE ROUTE": 18 Nodes: 1ms (San Francisco, CA)(START)(From my computer to the first hub) 36ms 10ms 10ms 13ms 17ms 18ms 17ms (San Jose, California) 30ms 51ms 52ms 75ms (Washington DC) 77ms (Chicago) 75ms (Chicago) 75ms (Chicago) 76ms (Chicago) 75ms (Washington Area)(END) Now the strange part is this: If the server is in Chicago, why am I routed to Washington DC first and then return there as my LAST ping. If the server is in Washington, Why am I routed to Chicago via Washington DC and then back to Washington DC???? Someone is monitoring traffic. Contact your local congressman, start a grassroots campaign. YARGGGGGGGGGG IronJ

Did you ever think the issue is what and how much the box is hosting. And then if it needs to run so much upgrading the box ? i dont know what you rent but the problem as i see it is the box cant handle the traffic going through it. Yes depending on time of day it does lag i dunno thats how i would look at the problem but then again if i cant kill angel something is wrong haha
