Magpul and Yankee Hill have nice accessories. When I pick a favorite it might not be very impressive as it could well be a gun with with more sentimental value such as my second .22, a J C Higgins / Marlin. Note, I gave away my first .22, a Remington single shot to a close friend teaching his kids to shoot with no regrets. Or my fist pistol, a Ruger SIngle Six .22. Then again maybe my first and only used deer rifle, a Winchester Model 88 ,308. None really photo worthy for current gun nuts. I will see what of interest might be loaded up to photobucket. This one is a DS Arms (DSA) ,223 / 5.56, piston operated, match trigger, Duracote finish, forget what sights.

My most sentimental gun is my Youth Remington 870 20ga shotgun I got when I was 12, it was my first real gun. I would like to eventually get a match trigger for the M-4. I forgot to put in my post the BUIS is also YHM.

It was my Uncle's rifle, and he wasn't allowed to bring it to Australia when he moved there. I guess they thought a bolt action .22 was way to dangerous for a former Marine to possess in their former penal colony... I remember going over Grandma's house and seeing that rifle hanging up on the wall, and wondering if I would ever get to shoot it some day. Well I can tell you it has killed many a woodchuck and wild turkey since I inherited it, and came in second place (I know, first loser) in the first 200 yard .22 match at my club's range.

Here is my fave,'54 H&R DCM M1 Nice looking M-1, looks refinished? I have several C&R M-1's, one from each manufacturer, also the Springfield remake from a couple of years back and a Winchester reconditioned by Miltech. FYI the makers of M-1's were Winchester, Springfield, International Harvester and Harrington Richards. My WInchester is first year issue, Jan 1942, below. Very hard to find full matched M-1's, most have seen armory work.

It looks great! I refinished my M1 when I got it in '91, the stock was pretty rough, and the op rod was protruding from the box the Army put it in when they shipped it, and that was really scratched up, but serviceable. I bedded and sealed the stock, floated the hand guards and gas cylinder, did a trigger job, and installed NM rear sight app, and front globe , my eyes ain't what they used to be. It shoots very well with 168 Sierras, 47.5 gr. 4064
