Have you uninstalled BF3 and Origin completely then cleaned your registry before reinstallation?

Anything else running during the update/ installation process?

If I was in your shoes, I'd clear the lot off my system and try from scratch.  After uninstalling everything, delete all temp files and repair the registry (CCleaner is a good freebie if you lack a paid-for alternative).  http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Then download a fresh copy of Origin and the full patched game through that.

I wouldn't run TeamSpeak until after the successful reinstallation; it works afterwards but I don't know how it could affect the update...

If you are running a 32 bits Windows, there is a post about settings you have to change and just can't find it quickly here at the forums.

I also suggest to clear the temp files and not only with CCleaner. Right click C: drive Properties and use Clean disk button there.

You can also cut and past the content inside the  "Temp" folder which is located at:

C:\Users\YOUR ACCOUNT\AppData\Local\Temp

For the "just in case" do not delete the content but move/cut the content somewhere else.

Btw, we can change your name to ATi - AMD anytime :P

Did you reboot in  between? Do that.

The game is 14,8 Gb actually. And the last patch was 4,5Gb.

Try and do a system restore to a time it was working last then do it i had to take out power player dvd to make it work. Have a look to see if you have installed a program when it did not work and uninstall it.

I read all that and I'm not sure where you were at in the process, installing or updating?  Did you open Origin click "My Games" and RIGHT click the BF3 icon and select "Repair Install"?

I can only offer a couple of suggestions

Close Origin and Battlelog

C:/Program files (x86)/Origin Games/Battlefield 3

Right click Battlefield 3 folder select properties-security and make sure it is set for everyone-right click bf3.exe and select run as administrator and try repair again. (I had this issue and I did this and it never happened again)

Close Origin and Battlelog

If it still fails rename the folder called "Update" to something else and try repair again. If it works delete the renamed folder

Hi all thanks for helping i fixed it.

this is how,

get another hard drive disconnect the other that you are useing install the same system IE/windows 7 64x.

install only the drivers that u need like ethernet graphincs.

install game from dvd rom.

update it then it will work.

now shut pc down disconnect the hard drive.

reconnect the other drive original.

then start windows and uninstall origin you then need to reconnect the drive that had the new bf3 game on and copy and past it into the origin game folder that is still there.

once you have done this reinstall origin and run repair for bf3 (DO NOT LET IT START UPDATING).

Pleased to read you got it sorted but what a performance that turned out to be to fix it!  Not a solution that would readily spring to mind! Surprised

Anyway, as SOB says, good you're back in the game.  I was running out of team-mates to TK... Wink
