It would be nice to see an anti-camping mod on our COD DM server. I saw one on some other server a while back. I thought it was a great idea then and an even better one now. Either that or the campers would have to wear a bright orange jumpsuit with KOA stamped on the back to be eligible to play on the DM server.

Seems like a few people have carried camping to the extremes lately. I just make sure I always lay a trip wire in their favorite spots, or throw a frag whenever I'm in the neighborhood. It seems to keep them moving around. I'm guilty of it too on certain maps but camping rarely results in a winning score. It's just when I'm lazy and pissing off Pete & Spanky.

I actually don't mind campers because they are perfect for my "game style", (whatever that means) but Glove is right, sometimes too many campers make some maps unbearable. And the do win quite often LOM, just ask MacDaddy or the worst camper/salsa/cha cha cha dancer: Pete the Pimp. Just watch a minute of this and you will know what I mean by that :-)

This guy + a gun + adm hack = an instant Pete the Pimp.

Glove at least you can play. I can't even install this game on my pc as it has issues with Windows 7!

Dont run it normally Dean,

in Win7 you have to stop the installer when it auto runs,

The browse to your CD Drive manualy,

Find the Setup.exe file, right click it and choose "Run As Admin"

That should work, I have COD2 running fine on Win7 64bit using this install method

As for the campers it's part of the game. I agree with the Sparty method and bash them. Or the LOM method and frag them. Either one woks.

Things got a little heated last night in DM between two players with one of them camping. The complainer isn't a clan member and the accused was. I was about ready to tell the non-member to stop whining about it when the accused (XI member) blurted out with FU Bitch, and he wasn't joking. At that point I just told them both to STFU and keep playing.

Certain maps are very condusive to camping while others aren't. We all know that certain players camp every chance they get and it is understood by most who play that this is accepted on our servers. The only time it crosses the line is when they camp on spawn spots continuously and that's when we need to call them out on it regardless if they're a member or not. Non-members need to be reminded not to bitch about it too much, and members need to learn a little restraint and refrain from personal attacks.

Not everybody is on a level playing field in this game and camping is the only way some can can compete. Yes they get some easy kills but they also make easy targets when they don't move or are always in the same spot. It's a trade off and what makes this game fun.

Glove, I realize you hate campers but whenever I'm playing run & gun with you on any map I can almost never kill you face to face in a shoot out. Not sure why I can unload a full clip at you and miss when you drop me with one or two shots almost every game, but whatever the reason if I can find an out of the way place to camp for a while and offset my losses I will take full advantage of the opportunity every time. You may not like it, but I don't like getting my ass kicked every game either. Sorry it's not the style you are comfortable with, but that's just life sometimes.

Yikes, Joe jr, my 11 year old son was playing last night while I was at work. I hope it wasn't him, was he involved at all LOM?

Hmmm, Welllllllllllll, first and foremost, I don't hate campers (or anything else for that matter) it's just a very annoying and unnecessary part of this game. Secondly, I'm not certain what is being said here. Am I being indirectly accused of something or what? My deaths almost always either equal or exceed my kills in-game. In this particular case I believe it's a ping related issue. I believe that it is a bit of a stretch to say that a clip is unloaded on anyone at any given time. I have trouble hitting players that have an extremely low ping or an extremely high ping. It becomes a timing issue and you need to compensate.

Now if I am questionable on any level, please by all means check me out. I don't even consider myself that good of a player, I just have persistence ... ask any camper, LoL!
