It was from eFax and it said I had an 8 page fax waiting for me. Normally I wouldn't bother but I just happen to be waiting for a contract by email and figured the attorney efaxed it to me. I had my finger on the button to click the link and just decided to look a little deeper before doing it and sure enough it was a scam. The link had a re-direct to a web site in Spain. I moused over all of the links in the email and they all went to the same web site. So beware of bogus emails from eFax Corporate.com. simplemod, Blackbart, Sonovabich and 2 others 5 Awards

I stopped from clicking in the last sec. Since it was in Norwegian and not english I saw from the poor choice of words and grammar that it was google translate. turned out to be a phising mail from south of Europe and sent to many members of my company.

A bank should never send you an email, so if you get one, then it's fake.

A bank should never send you an email, so if you get one, then it's fake. I opened a new bank account a few years back and they phoned me at home. Before the woman would discuss my finances, she said, she would have to "verify" me by asking some security questions... I had to explain the error of her ways to her! How the hell did I know who she was and, no, I wasn't going to discuss anything with a stranger who phoned me up! This was a big name bank - no wonder they got into trouble! Awards

I used to get emails from a friend that he wasn't sending himself but by some form of malware just sending emails to his address book at random. Always check out the links. And as above, no bank or any reputable financial institute will send an email wanting you to confirm any information by clicking on a link. Probably a good thing you gut kicked in to check it out first. Awards
