Better yet how did MNF work out for Alex Smith?

He may have just become the backup.

Might turn out to be like Wally Pipp who took a day off and was replaced by Lou Gehrig.

You know, I like Smith. He is an excellent QB, has improved every season since becoming a 49er. He has certainly proved to be worthy and in time to come, sit with the elite. However, he needs to protect himself better than he did when he dropped his head on a run... careless... Now, for Kaepernick... WOW. That was an impressive showing and with that, he may very well see more starts. Showed confidence the entire time he was out there and took control. I think Harbaugh will be looking to see if that kind of confidence and play can continue. He was certainly exciting to watch and earned the next start.

Trade Kapernick to the Eagles, we will give you both of ours. In fact we would probably pay SF to take ours. We will even throw in the head coach, Reid.

LOL. I have'nt seen what the Eagles have but you're not making is sound very good. It's taken SF a while to rebuild again, I think we'll keep Colin. I think there is some NHL players looking for work. Maybe one of them can throw a ball for ya.

Yup, that's what finishing in last place gets you, ;) , the #1 pick in the draft. Luck is doing a real good job as is your fill-in coach Bruce Arians who used to coach Temple here in Philly.

I suppose it's even possible that Arians could wind up coaching the Eagles next year.

Speculation is focusing on Gruden but whoever gets the Philly job will have a tough time turning them around.

Notice that I am assuming Reid will be fired at the end of the season.
