Hmm...I am staring to think that you are a one man crusader against  pot user and weed..You blame EVERYTHING on Marijuana..

 

 

Just think about where we be with out HEMP (marijuana like plant) and hemp items..

Not a "crusader" but someone with a different perspective on a potentially harmful substance.

If someone begins to suffer and their doctor cannot readily identify the cause, it is possible that

lifestyle could be a factor and the cause could be physical, mental or a combination of both.

There's been some constructive comment about stimulants and the need to avoid them.

If a person advertises a particular "problem" among the awarded medals and a research paper

has linked that "problem" to the problem about which they are posting, it is logical to mention it.

I am not asserting that drug abuse is causing a sleep disorder but it remains a possibility that it

has.  If so, I hope the damage is reversible with treatment.

Well for me I was fucked up way before I started smoking. Not sure if that is reversible or not. :)

2. Chow down on a big Turkey sammich (turkey is well known as a sleep aid)

3. Take a hot bath

4. lay down in bed and put Mr. Rodgers on the TV and you should be looking at the inside of your eyelids in no time

Cheese, do you have trouble falling asleep and also staying asleep?  It's a good idea to get tested for sleep apnea but that would only explain part of the problem. Do you feel tired or sleepy during the day?

 

I used to have trouble falling asleep and I did some research on the topic. Here are some tips:

 

- Do not drink alcohol (unless you are partying at night :-)

-No coffee, or any type of caffeinated beverages (soda, tea, hot chocolate etc) after 6pm

-No heavy exercise (weightlifting etc) 4 hours prior bed time.

-Use your bedroom only for sleeping (and sex). Avoid watching TV or use your computer in your bedroom

-Make sure your room is completely dark and quiet. Get a good quality mattress.

-No naps during the day. Go to bed consistently at the same time every night if possible.

-Have a light supper, avoid foods that require hours to digest 

-If you go to bed and you can't sleep, get up, get a glass of warm milk and do a light activity (ie reading) until you feel sleepy again.

-Try using Melatonin, its a natural hormone. You can start a 3mg and go as high as you want. No side effects.

-Try using Nytol or any OTC med that contains  dyphenhydramine hydrochloride, (antihistamine).

- If none of these work go to a sleep specialist, not a GP doctor. Avoid using benzodiazepines long term, try zopliclone for example. This is all short term.

There are several remedies you can try one being Horlicks malted  milk drink that help be but there are things like Nytol and other natural ones out there you could try when all said and done sounds like you got nothing to loose trying them all out.
