Do you have your bios boot sequence set to CD first, or are you pressing an F key to manually select? After that what happens? Does it recognise the disk?

Also are you overclocking at all. If you are try saving your bios setting and reset the to defaults. Set your 1st boot device to the cd. The problem could also be the cd/dvd itself or the disk. I know that it is flustrating but its kind of a process of elimination. I have MANY cd/dvd drives that are bad...even new ones as that may be a good place to start. Also kinda had the same problem repairing a laptop yesterday and ran spinwrite on the drive. It found a bad sector on the drive and repaired it. Laptop fixed and ready to be picked up. If you need anything hit me up. If you give up mail it to me and I will fix it for you! Awards
