Hello, I've recently started playing on the CoD5 >XI< Vietnam FreezeTag server, and at the start of each round, everything sounds fine, but after about 30 seconds or so, this static noise, almost like a wooden fire, starts playing.

It overpowers the other sounds that are going on in game. It resets with everyone round. It wasn't just one map, it occurred on multiple maps. Haven't seen this with any of my other games. It is installed via Steam.

I was not sure if this was something normal or if anyone else has had this issue before.

Here is a brief video with the noise going.

Also, my game crashed earlier when maps were switching, and then I wasn't able to get back in for quite some time due to a "qport" error. I've searched these forums and someone mentioned making a script (I assume running locally) that would fix it, but didn't ever see a actual post for it.

Sounds like when someone is frozen. Try going into "Options &Controls", "Sound", and changing the "Voice Sound" all the way down. This does not affect voice chat in game but gets rid of the 'frozen' crackle.

As far as the qport error, working on that but not sure why it is not releasing players for so long. If you have a qport error, for now try looking for an admin on our TeamSpeak server in the Lounge channel.

Thanks @@Merlin007 I will give that a try when I get on later today.

@@Cylon sounds like you want to pick it up and play again :) It is quite a different pace from CoD4, at least to me.

Merlin is correct if you get the static sound when frozen turn your voice volume down to the bottom in game.

Also regarding the qport error, if no one is around to help you, just join a different server then leave and go back to the ftag and you'll be fine...!!!

Merlin is correct. The qport error I think it will go away after 300 seconds. I think thats what the server is set at. And yea if your not use to great graphics and gameplay cod4 is better :)
