News that the company appears to be going down the Windows 10 road and will harvest data about searches, website visits etc from its customers has not been well received. I have sought clarification as I do not intend to pay to be spied upon by any company. There are many articles in the computing and security press on the topic - the one I link to is just one. If you are a fellow AVG user (of the free or commercial offerings) do have a read and make your own mind up. Currently, if you are seeking an AV product, think very carefully about putting AVG on your machine(s)! Only thing Windows is really needed for is certain programs and games. Wonder if its possible to run a linux virtual machine inside windows or something like that. I am sure it is.
