Damage, I picked it up in Tech school. I originally applied for auto body, I spent a lot of time in the garage tinkering and fixing the cars. But the class filled up before I got to choose. So the next best thing was machining. I learned machining 101 in school. How to read the tools, how to operate the manual machines, tooling, metals, feeds, speeds, etc. After school I broke away from it and worked in a housing plant sanding drywall. After a couple years of that and having kids, it was time to set myself up with a job I enjoyed. I no longer wanted to hate my job. I went to a job fair and stumbled upon this company and was basically hired on the spot as 3rd shift supervisor with no CNC experience. I learned everything i know now by manuals and on the job experience. I've been machining for a little over 6 years now and absolutely love what I do!! Damage_inc-, Blackbart, Mule and 1 other 4

They'll hire anyone off the streets willing to learn. And if you have a good head on your shoulders, and can pick up the programming, that's all it takes. Most companies around me require a certain amount of on the job time. Example: 3 years experience is normally what they ask for.

Did he have multiple bikes? Have you been a CNC operator for long? And to answer your question I also love what I do; I'm an Aerospace Engineering student and just finished my third year in UNI. Will be working on research over the summer, if it's fruitful maybe I could write a post about what was learned! Justice 1 Awards

Unfortunately there is a very small market for aftermarket parts for this type of part. Just helping a couple people out

Were they mounts for the mirrors, like how did they fit into the customization? Awards

The rest of the part (from the threaded end to the larger diameter) is inside the handle bars. The old mirrors screwed into the handle bars roughly mid bar. Which were too narrow making it hard to see past your shoulders. Edited May 14, 2017 by Ju5tic3

But yes, g-codes are all your movements and m codes would be all you accessories (example: Spindle on/off, coolant, chip conveyor, etc.)
