After he had his bad acid trip in Germany and left I saw them on at a nightclub, they refused to play any of the old songs and the audience didn't like it, neither did they, Christines language would have made a sailor blush and they cut the gig short, they struggled after he left until Rumours and I personally thought they were finished. How little did I know, I liked Rumours but preferred the Peter Green set up. Although he formed the Splinter group it was obvious he was taking a back seat at times and using his name, goddam drugs took all my heroes, Hendrix, Joplin, Kossoff, Lynott and almost Jimmy Page it was as though they were all on self destruct, a lesson not yet learnt it seems. This was when Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll was how many of us in LA lived until AIDS popped up. Way to much mingling between the band members over the years took it's toll on all their relationships. The age of heroin took a lot of talent from this planet and made for some interesting Rock Moments like the fact that Clapton is the one who played the solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" because George was a tad bit dope sick that day. Oh BTW my Uncles best friends starting in grade school were Scott Gorham and Bob Siebenberg who you might be familiar with, thru Scott I got to meet Phil when I was 16 and they were touring with Queen which I was backstage for. One of my more epic life moments. Also my Ex Brother-in-Law was Frank Zappa and before my wife met me she was dating Steve Vai and I was dating Ken Scott's wife (Supertramp Producer) so my Rock Roots run deep even though I never played in a group. Music is my JAM RobMc 1 Awards

Not only did Clapton steal Georges solo he also stole his wife if I recall correctly ? PHUCKITMAN 1
