Just a little heads up--I installed google chrome a few months back---hard drive crash. Didn't put the two together though, so I just installed it again about a week ago--- things started goin stupid, lots of crashing, unhandled exception errors, directx stopped working--------CRASH!!!! Still wasn't for sure but was narrowing it down. Reinstalled win 7 (64bit) yesterday things were good again--until I re-installed chrome ---freeze ups, files not downloading--- more freeze-ups---  uninstalled quickly--everything back to normal.NOW I KNOW FOR SURE IT IS GOOGLE CHROME!!!

stay away!!

Running Win7 Home Premium 64 bit. I use Chrome almost exclusively and other than an occasional Flash crash it doesn't give me any trouble. IE8 and Firefox never give any trouble.

The rendering engine in IE8 is from the stone ages compared to the like of Firefox and Safari, as a web developer I find myself writing one set of code for all good browsers then another set of code full of workarounds and fixes to get things to display properly in IE8, IE in general has been the bain of my existance since IE5,

Having said that, I've seen some advanced previews of IE9 and my opinion is that Micro$oft have finally pulled there finger out and produced a browser thats actually going to be worth having, initial tests put it on a par with if not better than firefox, chrome, safari etc

Way to go MS it's only taken 15 years for you to release a browser that actually does what it's supposed to do !!!

Even our nice website needs to have edits for: IE, Chrome, Firefox....?

For example, for EXAMPLE; what do you see below BudSR's signature's in those above :P

Advice: Look for IE9 "iepreview.msi" hehe, love to tease XI people!!! My hobby, sorry look at the "Pain in the ASS"medal.

No Ray, our nice website only needed CSS fixes for IE7 and IE8, all other browsers render the site exactly as it's supposed to be,

Danmnit - looks like I gotta change my avatar now Rogue - you beat me to the BTB one!!!

BTW I use Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and use Chrome almost exclusively, and I cannot remember the last time my 'puter had a hard drive crash. I honestly think something else is interacting with it, maybe through chrome, but I highly doubt it

I like Firefox but it seems so laggy these days and I absolutely refuse to use IE

My 2 cents

Chrome is a little faster than Firefox and I think both are better then IE.  I use Chrome and never have any problems iwth it.

And Phantom, you cannot post pics on the forum with Chrome.  If I want to do that, I have to use Firefox or IE.

I've used Chrome for months for everything and haven't had one problem with it. Chrome is faster at loading then any other web browser I've used.
