The sad thing is if they'd kept some it pristine in storage it would be worth a fortune today, I believe there are only 2 or possibly 1 tigers in running state. This is a fascinating subject, I wonder how many armaments were hidden throughout Europe, forgotten about and yet to be discovered, I know we had stockpiles around the UK in case of invasion. rexbowan, Mule, major-mark63 and 2 others 5

Bought a MKIV years ago that had been in storage since the war. Claimed it was from a warehouse in Northern Ireland. Perfect wood, beautiful bright bore, & sharp lands. I still have British .303 laying around w\cordite loading. RobMc 1 Awards

There was an old fella (gone now) who's wife used to work with mine, he kept a 303 propped up against a hat stand in his hall. Said it was given to him after the war by his uncle, he had trouble getting ammo even then and what he had was from Greece, wonder where it went. Now in the USA this wouldn't be noticed but in the UK this was really something, I follow Hickok, Spomer and Who-Tee-Who religiously on youtube and love the older weapons. I would love to see it, put some pictures on for me please Beer, any Mosin Nagant's?

As I understand it most of Germanies weapons had to be destroyed but a small percentage could be converted into shotguns for sport hunting in the allied countries. RobMc and TheLastColdBeer 2 Awards
