Also, how much fun will it be Deleting Vista completely and Doing a Complete reinstall in order to switch from 32 bit to 64 bit, is this gonna be worth my time in order to run more Ram, or will 32 bit Windows 7 be good Enough. I would appreciate any and all advice, and maybe I will just stick with 32 bit to make life easier if 64 bit is a waste.............. Awards

Don't ask what can I run if I get a 64 bit OS ask why do I need a 64 bit OS and so I can run more ram is not an acceptable answer unless your doing some serious graphic work or working with video. Its the same thuing as asking if you should update your bios I would ask does your bios need upgrading most of the time it does nothing for you. I run 32 bit with 4 gig of ram and I never use all the ram never even compliling a huge map. Now ask if you should get stinking fast ram I say yea baby but your cash there. Awards

Thus operations where you need a lot of RAM. For all the other apps a 32bit System is strong enough.

I would say anything that gave me more ram do it can never have enough ram.

I can still win a round or two on occasion with 32 bit system with 3 G's Awards

Your CPU is designed for it and thats why it is (also) more stable. I havent heard people that installed the drivers right, then went back to 32bits. Addressings are better and the "HAL" system. Your "HAL" sytem must be good or your hardware is acting slower/ incorrect. Awards

It has to be, otherwise 75% of the computers out there would be obsoleted as most people can't afford the hardware required for a 64-bit system. I have been running 7RC (32 bit) for about a month now and, although I like it, it is not much better than XP. Vista just doesnt cut it for me so, I am torn between leaving everything the way it is, or doling out the $200 to upgrade to 7 - all of this on 32-bit systems because the "trouble and strife" wont let me spend anything ona new MB and processor anyway Awards
