My cabin runs on LiPo4 batteries or Lithium Iron Phosphate so I'm a huge fan of battery powered things. I'm just not excited about any of the Electric cars. Lucid is pretty cool though but still no desire to have one. I'm planning on going this direction. My buddy in Louisiana converts electric golf carts to solar. This one buggy of his has 10,000 Wh LiPo4 batteries at 36v which also runs his cabin when needed in Summer months to run the A/C or the entire cabin. Unless I can charge one of these cars using the Sun at my home.. I'll not ever want one. Plus we need more carbon in our atmosphere so plants can grow. All this Climate Change war on carbon shit is pure BULL FUCKING SHIT. I'm on solar for the independence not having to pay anyone a bill or taxes. As most of you know I've been in Healthcare for years. I started out when I was 20. Started out as a CNA in an Alzheimers and Dementia unit and that's where I've been since. Got my nursing degree and stayed. Covid took alot out of me mentally and physically to where I just feel that my mental health has become so unhealthy as well. And I feel it's time for a big change in many ways. Eating right. Exercise and a new career path. I've been wanting yo make this change for a while and now I finally have. Let start with your clan name? Sitting-Duc Do you have any nicknames? Personal or in game? Duc When and where were you born? Beginning of the 90's in England, UK. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I'm generally wanting to do something in the military, but more on the intelligence or technology side of things. I don't think I would have done well as a 'grunt' in any form. Where have you lived? England for the majority and Wales whilst I was studying at university. What got you into gaming? My cousins and brother I guess, they played the games and I persuaded them to let me have a go. Started on console SEGA and then moved into PC Gaming. Your first game you played? I believe it would have been Sonic or a similar game in that genre. And what do you play now? I rarely find the time to play games anymore, and when I do I focus on playing single player games that come with little social interaction or time commitment. Generally, city builders like City Skylines or RPG type games like Skyrim or Fallout. Why did you join XI? I was headhunted to bring my scripting skills surrounding the Crysis series into the community. I generally joined as the promise was for servers and environments for me to unleash my creative skills on focusing on administration tooling and extending the original game functionality. What do you get from being in this clan? Rugger would say so much at this point. Generally, I get pain and suffering from a bunch of half-finished projects and ongoing maintenance that I need to keep on top of but rarely do and when I keep putting and putting it off then it becomes a significant, unavoidable job that I *have* to sort out. Excluding the pain and suffering; primarily the community for me focuses on those that have become friends and who I have both travelled with for the XI meetups but also on other trips and experiences. What is your favourite hobby? Currently, it would be working on my house and garden if you call that a hobby, regardless it is something I am both enjoying and hating it at the same time. What is your favourite travel destination? The one I haven't yet been to. The countries I have now been to are: Canada, USA, Iceland, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Ghana, South Africa, Qatar, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Japan. Out of all of them, the ones I know I will be back to (excluding the UK ones) would be Japan and USA. The USA I visit because of XI more than anything else. Japan is a country that I truly love - the people, culture and food all excel. Are you married? No, but if Hefe ever dies (completely non-suspiciously of course) I'll take his place. I have a year long prescription of vitamin D. I think its because we live north of the lakes and Hudson bay is sending this shitty weather. last summer (june to end of august only 22 days of sun) and we had a lot of smoky days due to wood fires in upper north.

If I could do Hydroelectric I'd be on that in a flash. Having constant running water blows away Solar hands down. For I we get 275 days of Sunshine or so a year so Solar is doable. I have only seen it super cloudy here the entire day maybe 15 times in 4 years. But I do get bad solar days and I then have to turn stuff off. Keeping my Refrigerator going has not once been a problem and I always have one laptop running for entertainment and communications. Gosh I could not even imagine living in a place with 275 days of no Sun. You'd have to put me on suicide watch if I lived there.

solar is good when you can have sunny days. Hhere cloudy 275 days a year and raining all summer , we will stick electrical dam. But since i live away from big cities dont need to wait an hour for a recharge

Not your average Golf Cart. Never needs gas. Never needs to be plugged in but he did just make a power station to plug 3 more 300W panels to speed up charging two days ago. Otherwise it will charge on it's own and it has ran for 2 years just on one panel.

This is a Solar generator Off Grid Gary built. Just an example of portable power to do whatever is needed from Welding , power tools to cooking. If anyone plans on going off grid... it's easier today then ever. So many advancements you can live free from bills like I and you can do it all yourself. As for an electric car... needs to be something 48v not 400v like a Tesla. But you can modify a Tesla battery into a 48v system then you can charge it using Solar. I'll find the video that a congressman from Kentucky runs his house on one he setup all himself.
