Out mowing a few weeks ago & my Kohler K341 powered Walker just died. Cleaned the carburetor, took apart the fuel pump, cleaned out the fuel tank.....not a fuel issue. Bright blue spark, but it would fire & run until it got a little warm, then fail. Bought a new (NOS) ignition module from an old Kohler dealer locally. Ahh, this'll be a breeze. Sure, just like every mechanical task. Would have been easier just to pull the motor in the first place, but I tried to get the flywheel shroud off in frame, and it wasn't going to happen. Pulled the motor, folded a dollar bill for a shim, and got back in business in time to buzz through about an acre of grass. So much for a leisurely Saturday.

Aging will show you with crystal clarity what's important in life, and what doesn't matter. Guess that goes with mortality. When you're a kid, you believe in invincibility. The more you encounter death, the more you appreciate the time you have, and how valuable it is.

I'm all for the euthanasia solution. If your multiple mansion, jet setting, vineyard owning governor has you convinced you have offended gaia, by all means remove yourself from the equation.

Had snow blowing past the widows at work yesterday. Yuck, icky, & not wanted. Pulling the fountain out of the pond this week.

My wife bought this car off the showroom floor in 2011. GM 0% financing, but we paid it off before Lori's passing away in 2016. I keep it because my lust for cars has dwindled to nothing, they're just a necessary nuisance. I used to love motorcycles, owning over 40 of them during my lifetime, but they don't thrill me anymore either.

Chloe Thomas, 19, a pregnant mother and freelancer from Cannock who joined the action, said: “How do I explain to my daughter in the years to come where the animals went, where the culture went, where the beauty went, why there are no bees and why I can’t put food in her tummy?
She can tell her daughter, who might identify as a Tom turkey by then, read the koran, my son. It's full of enlightenment. Now get back in the mud pits and stomp straw into the clay like a good little slave.

Don't know whether it's true or not (I don't believe all I read) but apparently people are being fined in Europe for gathering wood. The argument is that all trees are owned by private citizens or the state, therefore you are stealing? If it gets real bad you'll have to guard your garden fences, interesting admission last week that the so called 'green' bio mass fuels, now used in power stations, are more polluting than coal, don't we just love 'experts'?
Doesn't make sense to clear cut American forests to make wood pellets, then ship them to Europe to burn as biomass. Unless, you're in on the carbon credits & "renewables" game that the western governments play. They tried to get Africa to join in, but they told the greenies to piss off. None of the numbers add up to anything useful, especially with China, India, & Russia ignoring the new religion.

We are all here together, but sadly, not for the same purposes. One hoped we had a common goal, such as a prosperous nation, justice for all, and opportunity to enjoy life. Can't have that while your "elected" representatives view their constituents as sheep to be fleeced. I never intended to bust my arse so some junkie could doze off his fentanyl high off on the sidewalk.

Heavy work schedule, so we all didn't arrive at the lakes simultaneously. Gaggle of cars & boats, but we loaded up Wednesday morning & headed north for breakfast & home. Pouring down rain, battery saver alert came on, I watched the voltage drop until I pulled into a rest stop on IL57 south of Urbana. Guy & Dale picked me up, called towing service for nearest dealer, had the boys drop me off in Champaign, IL. Rode with the towing company back to my car, it started & charged, no point in loading on the flatbed. Lead me to the dealer & make me out a bill. By this time it's noon, no techs around, car is charging fine. Service manager & I flipped a coin, so I headed up the road to Bloomington-Normal. 30 miles out it quit charging again, but JUST made it to Lehmans dealership in Bloomington before it croaked. Charged the battery, found a bad cell, did some recall work while there, they test drove it, pronounced me good to go. About 5 miles away it quit charging again, so back to Lehmans I went. Poor techs & service girls were fit to be tied, they thought they had it sorted out. I laughed, that's equipment for you. Boning me hard for the new battery, and now a GM alternator, but they shot me a deal on new Michelin tires. Sales girl gave me a 2021 GMC Arcadia to drive home (scratch it, and you bought it, big boy). Had to hollar out to one of the techs, "where's the shifter?" "It's on the dash, all toggle now, everyone asks that!" So much for a relaxing fishing trip.

Hijacked my thread with your cool ass lantern and those decorative logs that you never burn.
lol.. have a relaxing fishing trip.
I split & burned them last night, they were wet, gave off no heat, and weren't worth throwing on the fire. Ready to crack a Shiner Pecan.

Bought an old Johnson 9.5hp outboard. Cleaned & gapped both set of points, but could only get one plug to spark. After numerous tries, it dawned on me the points fired the plug opposite the way they were mounted, & I was shining the set that worked...d'oh!
