It depends where your contacts are saved to as if they are saved on to sim it maybe resetting itself... happened to me a while back try to add them on your memory card for it (if you got one or store on phone memory) What phone have you got ??

I don't have a solution, but I certainly admire the problem.

Pondscum beat me to it. When I got my phone, they signed me up for Gmail, and synced my contacts. You should be able to recover thru Google.

If it's all good now, you need to upload your contacts to Google, so next time, they'll be there.

I've got my contacts backed up in a few places. Google is one of them but I've got them also in windows live and outlook. All my contacts are stored on my memory card too. I change phones frequently so need to be sure about where they are stored. Sony Ericsson account and Nokia ovi synchronized too. LOL

if you have it set right all your contacts and mail should snyc to your google account.. thus any phone you use or log intot will sync with those contacts and email.  If it was the simm where yur contacts were and somethineg happned to the simm your screwed.
