I lost all my contacts. Pondscum beat me to it. When I got my phone, they signed me up for Gmail, and synced my contacts. You should be able to recover thru Google. Google is one of them but I've got them also in windows live and outlook. All my contacts are stored on my memory card too. I change phones frequently so need to be sure about where they are stored.
