Posted (edited)

I can't find where one may edit an already-entered forum post e.g. to correct typos or add further information.

Could a guru please point me in the right direction? :unworthy:

Thanks.

(Edit! This part of the forum seems to have an edit button next to "Multiquote"... Going to check other areas as I haven't seen this anywhere else.)

(2nd edit!! I'm not mad after all... There is no Edit button in either Politics or Jokes. Is this intentional or something to do with user permissions that needs to be switched on by a website admin?)

After 30 mins I think its set at you can not edit a post. This was put in place to stop some issues that we were having in the last website.

like he said, you are only allowed to edit for just a few minutes after you post. when the time limit is up, the edit post option will go away.

I know my vote does not count but as you all know I am not bashful about offering opinions.

I do not like not being able to edit after a given time frame and also do not like not being able to delete my own post. I only used those options as "tools" and did not abuse the options on the old site.

Of course I also have no knowledge of what abuse was done to cause the removal of those options. It very well may be a wiseadmin move if the tools had been abused.

Anyway, just my two cents.
