I have been fighting this hijacker of my google chrome search engine. I thought that I had finally beat the f--ker. I had everything going back the way I want it and then last night I log on and walla this f--kn hijacker was there again. I am really frustrated with this and when I googled it just now I found where it was discussed on a site:http://removal-tool.blogspot.com/2011/11/get-rid-of-search-resultscom-hijacker.html but I don't see where it's discussed how to remove it personally. If you read what it says here you can see this search engine promotes nothing just steals all the info you are requesting and delivers it under the guise as they did the search for you, but the reality as in this case google really did the work but this hijacker wants the credit. I say wtf do you do this if you don't seek gain from it? I am posting this for 2 reasons: 1. I believe I got this from a bundle digital deal that venders give out just to lessen the expense of promoting their own product and they could care less that the other crap may do extreme harm to your computer just as long as they have another niche of a delivery on their belt. 2. To one more time warn everyone that reads this to double read anything as to terms when you agree to download and install it. Most of these scumbags sneak these kinds of programs in agreements meant to deceive the end user. I have a problem with my eyes and seeing and agreeing to the small print isn't as easy as it once was. If you don't want this kind of problem running rampant them read everything before you agree to it. Gone are the days where you get anything that is free from the internet and can assume all you are getting is the one single program you want. They use very slick well devise deception to confuse someone like me. Just be careful as hell when you go to upgrade your programs because it just may be riddled with hijacking programs!

Now does anyone know how to remove this damned hijacker without completely deleting google chrome and all its properties? From a frustrated friend BigPapaDean!

Tried HiJackThis? And its free btw.

"Trend Micro HijackThis is a free utility that generates an in depth report of registry and file settings from your computer.
HijackThis makes no separation between safe and unsafe settings in its
scan results giving you the ability to selectively remove items from
your machine. In addition to this scan and remove capability HijackThis
comes with several tools useful in manually removing malware from a
computer

Many programs have such a crap aboard. Especially freeware tools.
Java f.e.: You get asked if you want to install the Ask.com Toolbar.

If you download Adobe Flash you get asked if you want to install MacAffee.

Take care when you install any free program. And do not install the whole crap
you can find out there. Try to find out some more about the program you want to
use.

- Has it a good reputation?
- Can you find it on popular sites like ZDNet.com or pcmag.com?
- Watch out for an imprint on the website where you want to download it if it is not a popular site
- Be careful when you install a program: The most setups tell you that they want
to install toolbars and so on. Can you deselct it? No? CANCEL!

:)

There is no way to beat down all the hackers out there. But we all can do our best to make
their criminal life more diffcult. Be distrustful.

It's also really important to look carefully at what you are downloading, even when it's a trusted update from Java, Adobe or Microsoft. Usually there are little check boxes asking if you would like product updates information, adding a tool bar or participating in online surveys. ALWAYS UNCHECK THOSE BOXES.

My daughter came in and woke me up last night saying that her computer says that she has downloaded child porn and she needed to "click here" to remove it, which of course she did like a fucking idiot. Needless to say I spent the entire morning getting the virus off her computer. Her anti-virus software expired about a month ago and she didn't bother to tell me. There are tons of crooks out there that will do anything to separate you from your hard earned money. Kids (and some adults) really don't have a clue what is real and what is a scam on their PC's.
